After 3 years of patiently waiting
Dunno if the '05 sedans have the same steering rack as the Z and G coupe.Unfortunately, like almost all the turbo kits on the market, the PowerLab kit was never R&D'ed or test fit on a G sedan prior to production. I know the Greddy TT kit requires modifications to fit a sedan and I'm afraid you might need to modify the PL kit also to make it fit on a sedan. FI install on a G sedan might not be a good choice for a first time DYI endeavor due to the additional modification and fab work necessary to make a kit fit properly.

Hmmm... I was wondering if it was simply an '06 steering rack issue... but you have an '05. Nissan revised the steering rack in '06 Z's and G coupes. PowerLab had to make an '06 version of the kit to clear the steering rack, as the original version of the PL kit did not fit on '06 models. I wonder if an '06 version up pipe will solve your problem.

I'm gonna call Intense in the morning, and see if i can buy that additional piping for an 05 revup. If that still doesn't work, I have two options: my buddy who's helping me is a welder and fabricator, so he can mock up some piping (scary option, being that it would all be guess-timations, at best, or B) drive to Intense in Arizona and have them do the install (best scenario, but not really time efficient, since I'm in Cali.....)
RudeG is correct in the fact that the sedan was never test fitted. On the G35 the 03-05 is different than the 06 as is for the 350Z. The auto throws a whole different twist in fitment and fabrication.
On a side note I think it is a great idea to do this with a sedan as length equals traction and its unique to boot.
The sedan engine bay is different than the coupe as well, we would be happy to take on the project for you and wholesale out the labor to do so as it would help the community to have a sedan option. Props on the DIY though for sure, this should be very helpful to those in the future
LMK if we can be of further assistance to the OP or any other readers of this thread.

Thanks for the time and info. Gonna take one last look underneath and see what we can figure out, since everything is already out and the car is on stands. But it looks like I'll be making my way that way shortly.
Thanks Darren.
Thanks Darren.

You may not fare better going that route either since TT kits have also required modifications to fit a G sedan.Whichever way you choose, I wish you the best of luck!

Thanks rude. It really isn't a frustration or money issue but time. Gtm said for this kit it's better to take it to intense. And since I'm in Cali, it's just too hard to find time to drop off Thr car in Arizona and also pick it up. Transport isn't an option cause of the costs involved for it
ya in that case, probably just better to dump it. if you arent building your block, justr slap on a supercharger. fits no problems. Like Rude said, every turbo kit will need modification to fit properly.

Str8dum1,
If I could find someone willing to do an outright swap with me I'd probably consider that.
I do plan on eventually building, as I'd like to have around 450-475rwhp. I'm not gunning for numbers, just enough power to beat mostcars on the road and have a nice torque curve.
Taking it to intense isn't completely ruled out as my sedan isn't a daily driver. At best it only sees about 150-200 miles a week.

You dont have a exhuast shop or tuning shop there that could modify the driver side down pipe? I would rather have a shop do that then rather throw the work you did and the kit out the window. just my 2 cents. to me having the only turbo sedan with that kit would mean more.

But as I said intense offered to do the install. It's not my preferred method, as I wanted to wrench. But at least I'd have more confidence in their modifications than mine.
