We shal see... interested to get the UTEC installed and tuned next month when the NOs comes in.

^thanks!

I have a tuner in the area that's really good with Osiris, but currently have a UTEC in my possesion, that's why I'm asking...

Damn, I was hoping to raise my rev limiter to around 7k. Just to sqeak out a little more speed from my 3.9FD.

GL with the NOS.

UTEC was able to raise the rev limit on my '04 G without a reflash, I'm pretty sure it can on an 04 Z as well. I believe it's the revups that need a reflash to raise the rev limit.

Most tuners don't mess with the cam control with uprev on F/I tunes....not a huge loss by going with UTEC IMO...sacrafice a little smoothness but you get much better safety....UTEC's overboost cut is a very welcome feature for stock block builds.

^ exactly, it can only raise the rev limit on non-revup DE's...kind of ironic given the name LOL

I stand corrected...it's the '03/04 ecu's only that can be raised.

/shrug. When I tried wiring the nitrous solenoid based off what they told me (after asking at least 2 different people the same question several times) I burned that up and wound up having to buy a NOS controller. They then wanted $200 and a month just to tell me if something was wrong with my unit and that didn't include fixing the solenoid controller. This combined with their latest firmware not working with nitrous for whatever reason is why I decided shortly after buying my Utec to not buy any more TurboXS products. If they're getting out of the game I'm fairly sure I wasn't the only one with issues like this.

hmmm... so how did you raise the rev limit on your 04 with the UTEC?

the person i bought the UTEC from mentioned raising his rev limit to 7200, he had an 03 G35.

i have an 2004.5 build, basically built in early January. not sure if this matters!?

i may have to do some more digging...

^ whoops, it was a late at night.

i thought you wrote "I stand corrected...it's the '03/04 ecu's only that CAN'T be raised."

good to know that you also have a 4.5 ECU and it was still possible, sweet.

i'm done HJ and this isn't even the TUNER forum, lol!

heading over there for future ideas

Osiris is better without a doubt.

$400 is the going rate. is that with or without map sensor? No map sensor I'd say $400 shipped with map sensor $450 shipped.

For NA then Osiris is better. The Utec really excel in protection if you have a Turbo but for NA, Osiris will server you well.
