Default I have been gone awhile, but I'm back....

Here is the new story on my car. Previously was a built motor greddy car with basicly just pistons and rods, put down 522@19psi on a DD. It was a blast to drive, but the HP bug bit me hard (damn bug!), so I contacted a local shop (Carma Performance in Nashville, TN) to help me get a "big twin" kit rolling.

We started the kit off with just a pair of SFR manifolds, that ended up having to be modified considerably to fit the bigger V-band exhaust housings. Everything else was fabricated in house by Erin@Carma. Final number is a safe 725rwhp@24psi on a DD using E85. We made a 800rwhp@26ish psi pass, but the injectors were simply maxed out on E85, so we backed it down some to keep the injectors in safe territory. I might push it more later with bigger injectors. E85 is pretty awesome, and with 2 pumps next to my house, its an obvious choice for fuel.

It has been a long road, but it is finally done. Here are the specs:

2005 Track with 26k on it.

Turbo kit:
Carma low mount twin kit
Twin precision billet 6062s, .63 V-band exhaust housings
5" thick intercooler
3" downpipes to 3" dual exhaust
38mm V-band Tial wastegates dumped
50mm Tial BOV
All piping is black powder coated
Coated hot sides

Engine:
CP pistons
Eagle rods
ACL race bearings
L19 Studs
HR headgasket
ARP mains
IP girdle
JWT C8R cams
JWT springs
Fully balanced
Crawford cast plenum
Koyo rad

Computer:
Flashed ECU
Haltech with 3.5 bar sensor
Boost solenoid
Innovate sensor wire into haltech for datalogging

Fuel:
120lb injectors
SP triple hanger
-10 feed -6 return
Altered rails
2 pumps run all the time, 3rd kicks in at 15psi

Drivetrain:
3.3 rear end
IP solid engine mounts
Solid diff mounts
Clutchmasters fx700 with twin iron disk

Update:
Here is a link for more pictures of the car. Once you select a picture, click it again for a bigger view.

The car was shot by Chad Lunn from www.chadlunnphotography.com. He took LOTS of pictures and they will put up slowly once he is done checking them over. Check back for more pictures.

Here are some various pictures throughout the entire build. The tac signal was being weird, so no HPxRPM at this time. We are reving the car to 8k. I'm sure I am forgetting something, but this is the gist of things.

I could of bought an SP kit and saved some head ache, but at the start of this project we were trying to use the Bullseye Power s262's. After fighting with the turbos to get them to fit, we scratched that idea and went with the tried and true Precisions.

Thanks .

I bought the injectors awhile ago before I knew about the ID 2000s, or I would of gone with those. We flowed these, for the hell of it, and they all flowed insane. They looked like a water hose.

Congrats - great power! Can you put some words to the driving experience before vs after this latest incarnation?

The car feels like a completely different animial. Lag is not as bad as I thought it would be, and the car physically feels more machine like (maybe from the solid mounts?). If that makes sense. The clutch is very tricky, but is manageable. Oh and then the way it sounds . Reminds me of a jet engine coming online.

I will get some videos here in the next week.

700-800hp is quite high for the eagle rods, was the short block carried over from the previous build?

Awesome build, congrats! What tires are those? Look like NT05's but my eyes could be playing tricks on me.
