Exclamation in-tank single fuel pump "veryon" 800whp

can this single fuel pump “veyron” be the solution to replace CJM twinpump? as cheaper route for fuel delivery needs to satisfy 700whp to 800whp build ?

1-if i replace my 255walbro with this pump direct drop in would my car run rich?
2-do i need to retune ?
3-what type of custom work the pump need to be fitted in tank?
4-if i have cjm stage 1 return system do i have to upgrade?

I would like to know the "supported mods" needed as well

That pump is absolutely not a direct drop in, and will require a custom fuel pump hanger and other work to make work in a 350Z.

so can you sell it as a kit or do i have to do my own custom hanger ?

also if i replace my 255pump with veryon pump it will run rich or no since both are single pumps ?

possibly. It supplies more flow so it could increase it.

also, you are talking about "cheap" fuel upgrades on a 700hp car. That's an oxymoron. If you spend the money on supporting mods for 700hp the fuel system isn't expensive at all.

You will still need larger supply lines, larger fuel rails, and all the other parts needed to make a return fuel system. Basically the only difference is the pump part. So 800$ for a cjm twin pump unit or a CUSTOM MADE hanger and veyron pump. I'm pretty sure having a custom hanger with the cost of that veyron pump will be over the cost of a cjm twin pump assembly.

/end thread.

not neccisarily but most likely it will

2-do i need to retune ?

whenever you make a fuel system change you will have to retune

3-what type of custom work the pump need to be fitted in tank?

custom hanger, expect a lot of cost in this. Just the hanger for a triple pump is 699$ from SP so custom hangers are expensive

4-if i have cjm stage 1 return system do i have to upgrade?

Yes, you will need new fuel rails and a larger supply line
I forgot to answer your questions so there they are.

A single large external pump would be much cheaper. A few of the v8 guys have built these and shown them on here. Those pumps are probably 300-400$ range then you have to get some plumming. It would be cheaper than having a custom hanger built.

It doesn't sound like a very practical, viable, or cost effective alternative to the CJM twin pump ...especially if Charles eventually makes an upgraded version with the DW or Aeromotive pumps.

^^^ i dont want to hear it!!! lol, i think only one guy who used E85 was able to find the limit of our twin pump with the existing walbros!!!

lol! But for sure, as soon as DW or Aeromotive gets to that particular application, we will be offering that upgrade.

are you talking about fabricating the existing twin pump setup or creating a new one to accommodate the aeromotive and DW?

neither... our twin pump just happens to use a different application of the walbro 255, not the standard GSS342 or GSS341. Once someone gets to making a larger pump that is a direct replacement for this model walbro, we will be in business for a direct swap.

personally i like the idea of a external swirl pot with a inline pump after it(or two) it saves from any potential fuel starvation and roughly the same cost mayby a little more but its added insurance if you take corners fast =/ i just gotta look up how to wire the second pump to turn on and off at certain boost pressures. not sure if haltech can do it or not.

Use a hobbs pressure switch to turn the second pump on. You can get them in the following pressure levels:

10 PSI Pressure Switch
15 PSI Pressure Switch
35 PSI Pressure Switch
60 PSI Pressure Switch
100 PSI Pressure Switch

dint think of that thanks sasha =D 10 psi would/should work out well if i see that it will prob only be momentarily on the way higher =P cant imagine alot of harm being done by it being switched on just a little bit earlyer then when its actually needed

You can also probably add 30-40% additional pump capacity by bumping up the voltage with a Ken Bell boost-a-pump for $250.

swirl pot with a big inline is nice.

sumping our tanks is the best solution for high fuel needs. you only need to run 1 pump for safety and reliability and plumbing is minimized.

too bad there isnt an easy production kit to do that with yet.
