Default Turbo 350Z Rear Tire Suggestions

400 hp at rear wheels on 350Z TT.
Currently using Michelin PS2 295/35/18
Toyo R888 probably too much money/mile for my use.

Any other suggestions welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Try the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11.

Or just keep using the Michelin PS2, they are sticky for a street tires.

+1 on the Bridgestone RE-11.

I'd look into the new Michelin Pilot Super Sport also. It's supposed to outperform the PS2 and offer significantly longer treadwear.

I have Yoko Advans in the rear and they are quiet, but not super sticky. They will break loose in 3rd even with the 3.3 rear diff on 12lbs.

You are saying 400whp on a DJ right?

I have 400 wheel (Vortech) with 275/40/18 RE-11's, and they'll hook in 2nd if you get them really hot, but most of the time its still a shitshow until 3rd. The car handles real nice with them though.

IMO anyone with a boosted VQ shouldn't be running a street tire less than 295 width in the rear.

R888s are stickier than RE11s but are sooo noisy and don't last half as long. Also as they wear they seemed to get less sticky (only tried one set - maybe I wasn't getting them hot enough with just street use). I've got RE11s now and I think they are the best all around tire for FI (305/30/19).

.. i have 265/40-18 v12 evos on stock wheels and 535rwhp

fml.no traction whatsoever.

anyway, not much treadwear but nt01's hook nice. we have nt05's on the 300zx, not much traction since over 600whp, so we switched to the r's. but nice for a street tire.

anyway so far, for a daily street tire, the hankook v12 evos really suprised me. they are my favorite so far, good treadwear, and inexpensive. on my stock wheels they seem stickier than the invos and kdw's i've had. If you're looking for a cheap tire to rack up miles on that isn't a pos I'd highly recommend them. GREAT in the rain.

I also liked them, I put v12 evos on my E46 M3 and they handled well. Obviously the car didn't have the power to break them loose like an FI Z does, but they were a nice all around tire. I would probably get them again if the Z was NA. The RE-11's are actually amazing in the rain, as good if not better than the v12's.
