I've been searching and couldn't really find anybody using the Motordyne setup with a built block and twin turbos. I was wondering if the TDX's "x-pipe" (to me it kinda looks like a y-pipe) setup would be restrictive for those running twins and trying to push out 600+ rwhp.
I am aware of that they make a dual 3" setup but it sounds too loud for my taste. I daily drive this car. I also work on a base and the security forces guys will give people tickets for just about anything when they're bored...

TDX v2 is a dual setup exhaust that doesn't use the xyz pipe setup. I was referring to the Tdx is more suited for boost applications supposedly.
TDX full 3" true dual is great for FI. With the v2 shockwave axle back it's loud but does not drone. If you want it quiet, you can get Dynomax VT mufflers custom fit for the axle back instead of the shockwave. Very quiet at cruise (almost like stock). Actually you can take any 3" exhaust and put Dynomax VT mufflers on it and I think it will sound stock (and not affect power at all, supposedly).

Yeah the turbo version is the full 3" not interested in that though because it's too loud. Im wondering how the regular TDX v2 does with boost though. Its "x-pipe" looks kinda restrictive for boost so I'm wondering if anybody has or is using it with their built block and twins.

you gotta make some sacrifices somewhere. sound on FI may be one of the them especially if you want some high horsepower. not sure what turbo setup you have but everybit helps to reach that end goal. In my case there are enough vettes, camaros, srt, and coke can exhausts that are way louder than any setup I've heard on a turbo g/z here at FT Hood.
But yeah to be honest I might have my setup maxed out before I even reach 600rwhp. It's a JWT 700bb. Thats why I'm curious to know if the regular TDX v2 will support the ceiling of this kit.
I think anything true dual 3" will handle any power level the Z can put out. If you want your cake and want to eat it too (quiet at cruise), look into custom Dynomax VT mufflers. I just got em on and am very impressed.
What are you air force? Here TX requires 2 plates, but there are guys with one that make it on base, seems petty. I'm not sure of the limits of the 700bb turbos. I think RCdash(Raj) and Sylvan35 have them, but not sure. Raj is making mid 5xx I think and he has the TDX turbo.
Raj, you got a pic of how it looks on your ride?

Thanks man I hope I do too. Its just hard for me to spend 2k on an exhaust. Keep me posted on how that goes with your setup. And stay safe out there brother.
I almost got the Varex and then the exchange rate for US$ to AUS$ went crazy. The dynomax VT is the cheap version of the Varex (spring operated instead of electronic). I don't have pics yet - taking the mufflers off this week to polish and will get some pics up. Wanted to see if they were a keeper before investing too much effort in making it look good... $90 a muffler can't be beat.

Replaced the axle back from the v-band flange. I got some weld-able v-band flanges from Tony and the above mufflers and clamps from Summit Racing and my exhaust shop did the rest (for $300).

I'll be at ZdayZ and the airstrip if you want to see/hear them in person. Although there shouldn't be a performance hit (and I don't feel any difference), until I dyno the two (shockwave v2 vs Dynomax VT) I won't know for sure. So I'm not selling my v2 until I get that done.
