I'm not sure with the HKS kit, but I was able to fit a Koyo 54mm radiator with my Vortech by trimming a small bit of fan shroud. Twice the capacity of the 36mm and they're both the same price.
I bought a 36mm a while back and still have it... it's bad enough most of the things that are going into this build are overkill, I'm not going to upgrade an upgraded part lol.

Thanks Chris, I can't wait to see my car again too.

Dude, have you heard anything about HKS not supporting this kit anymore? With the close of HKS USA I guess they are discontinuing the kit and HKS Japan will not support it.

Anyone else know if this is true?

Damn it!!!! Well I know someone who has a CNC shop in Miami so I can just take the bracket and have it re done in the event the original cast part gets damaged for whatever reason.

I tried them... they said that the only cover to leave the mainland of Japan was to go on the HKS GT release car.
So I managed to pick up another pretty rare piece to take it's place... its a Mastergrade G35 Carbon engine cover that looks a lot like the HKS unit:
Lawrence at Strafe will do the mods to get it to fit under my ARC Strut tower brace.

I don't think so. HKS japan will still remain on regular operations from what I heard. However, getting parts from them in USA will be hard. They'll still support the HKS GT supercharger since they run the same blower on a huge list of other cars(in JAPAN).

There's also a lot of tuners in the US that use Rotrex systems now... Active Autowerks, GTM, and Jackson Superchargers(CarKraft or something like that). The only thing that would be really bad is if the bracket broke but all my other systems are non HKS.

Word. I agree with both of you, I was just saying the kit will be discontinued. HKS Japan is going to remain in operation just the same, but they did not support the kit in the first place, so I'm not sure how that will work in the future.
Hey Flo, I have a contact at HKS USA that Andy@Performance hooked me up with when I bought that HKS TT kit. I can PM you his number if you want to try an give him a call before they close.

Thanks Broskie but I think I'm good for now... I tried getting the engine shroud from HKS Japan using google translator and they don't have any either.
pm'd back. Strict CA emissions keeps me at 320WHP on stock injectors, pulley, cats, and the HKS FCON tune that comes with the S/C. I have made gains of more throught the past years as it is tinkered with. Lots of poetential with this kit but I think most people unfortunately just hear 400WHP Vortech and go for that. Quality not quantity works sometimes. Anyway, not sure of the future as i'm thinking of changing it up. Building the bottom end right now for install in August and back in are the injectors, cams, pulley, tune of course, and maybe some ART pipes (which I have not seen any charts with the GT S/C). Then we'll see what I want to do from there. Management by FCON VPRO as well. Good luck.

You can up the power and pass smog if you do it right. Drop-in injectors will pass visual if they're true drop-ins. A smog inspector doesn't know what SC pulleys should be on. Fuel pumps will go unnoticed as long as you don't have a return system. Swap out the cats before your smog is due and you should be fine.
