Haha, just giving you a hard time on the brakes. Did you decide on which IC you are going to use? I was talking to another member that is local to me and he used a fairly decent size garret IC on his vortech, maybe you can use that too. http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant...egory_Code=INT I think he might be selling it.

The HKS Type-S has the same dimensions as the Garret you have posted and the price on the Garret is 1/2 the price with end tanks. I wonder what the pressure drop would be compared to the HKS GT unit, the other thing that may prove to be a killer is the lack of space. I have a Stillen oil cooler and I'd be limited behind my INGS.

Can shed some light on this particular kit? I was doing a little research on the HKS Type-S intercooler and came across this kit that looks to be the prototype that never came to be. I've also seen info that this particular kit looks to have been for an HR.

Gtmotorsports.com make a complete upgrade system to include a cold air intake, as far as I know they're the only ones that make these upgrades.

Thanks brother... that's actually the perfect shot and the one I was looking for. For those interested... The HKS8550 kit that Crtan77 bought has a Type-S Intercooler(Core P/N 17300-272287, not sure of the end tanks).

For those asking about the pulley upgrade interchangeability between the early Rotrex C30-94 and HKS7404... they're not the same. The Rotrex has a 7-rib pulley with a beveled bolt and the HKS7404 has a 8-rib pulley with an allen bolt. Now I've heard of an upgraded pulley bolt but I'm not sure if that applies to my particular kit.

Nice pic of the setup. Just an fyi you have the piping a little wrong on the compressor but I am sure once you install it, it will fall in place.

Yes I'll still be running a Nismo S-Tune, Resonated XYZ Y-pipe, and ART Pipes... it should sound pretty sick and not too loud.

Did you hear about the new MD shockwave ))) midpipe that will include an HFC there? Sounds very very tempting to me and I might switch out my current MD midpipe section for it.

Okay so putting my HKS one off kit together and I just noticed that there is no Tap for the MAF sensor. I see that in the HKS diagrams on their stock SC kit, the MAF goes right after the air filter before the supercharger. On Vortech kits, the MAF is located after the Supercharger on the cold side pipe of the intercooler heading to the Throttle body. Does anyone know if there's a difference on the MAF location? should i tap the cold pipe going to the Throttle body or tap the pipe on the air filter before the SC?

^Yeah, it doesn't come with one. I believe the used a MAP sensor with the HKS VPRO on that car. I think you might have to be creative here and do something yourself like using a vortech piece inbetween your plenum and IC like this.

http://g35driver.com/forums/engine-v...ake-pipes.html

or buy some couplers and but your OE MAF housing inbetween.

or you can tap the exisiting pipe as well but it's not gonna be as easy as the first two.

Good luck.

Does anyone know on an FI if i can run the Crank Case breather through the cold pipe going to the Throttle body? Or do I have tap the pipe on the filter before the SC? reason being is that i have to put in a MAF port and I was thinking of just using my K&N intake pipe that had the tap for the Crank Case breather in the stock location..

Let me know... I'll be ordering mine on the 26th, I'll knock off the ART pipes value from the Turbonetics kit.
