Best of Luck man!
Thanks for the advice, I think I'll pick up the GTM kit and risk it.

Thanks for the pic... it seems like they added a CNC machined piece that matched the size of the 8505. I wonder if the pulley idler is the same size as mine.

To answer your previous question. I'm going to be using a non jackshaft bracket.

I was looking at the GTM upgrade for the HKS kit and it's only a pulley upgrade. Why not just buy the rotrex one in case the mounting is different? http://www.urdusa.com/Forced-Inducti...veau88eb8m11r2

This is what you were looking at right?

I think the 8550 bracket is a combination of machining the compressor mount hole to be larger as well as extending it hence the weld spots.

When do you plan to install it all? BTW very jealous about those HKS BBK...

I'm currently overseas so my plans to have it installed would be sometime in November. Thanks for the info for the Rotrex pulley as it seems logical to go that route. I'm willing to bet the pulley's are the same but the internal specs may be different between the units. I'd actually be interested to see what results I get with this system compared to the 7404, I just hate the idea of doing all this work to get marginal gains from a "downgraded" Rotrex C30 when I can pay about the same for a HKS7404 and pretty much do better for the same price.

The thing that gets me is, why did HKS switch from the C30 to their own 7404? Was it a durability thing? Was it flow thing? At the moment I'll just pick up the 90mm pulley and GTM's intake system. After seeing the C30/7404 histories I'm hoping to see a realistic 350whp/330tq at the dyno with the upgrades. If for whatever reason it blows up... then I'm doing a rebuild and adding a 8404.

What are you doing for cams? If I don't get to the 350whp I may consider doing cams as that's the last thing I need, I know headers may help but I don't think they are worth the price/horsepower. Thanks for the compliments on the brakes... I'll be honest those have to be the baddest thing on the whole damn car and can't wait to see them as lately this place has been a nightmare so knowing those things are waiting for me, makes this job worth it.

Yea payment was made and everything's good... Koren was being a pest about it. I had constant communication with Gearheinz so I wasn't worried in the least. Sometimes I don't get internet connectivity or phone service in this sh!thole which delayed the process as well as I don't keep much money in my checking out to avoid impulse buys(like the brakes) so I was waiting for the transfer to be completed. It looks like I won't getting to Miami until the 2nd or 3rd week of November.

I called him personally from here and he was very easy to deal with... easy enough to drop some serious cash for the brakes and the engine cover.

The difference between the GTS7040 vs the c30-94 is going to be negligible at worst based on what I've researched. I'm not exactly sure why HKS switch over to making their own SC compressor, since the one they made is alsmost a verbatim copy of the c30-94. I haven't read much on many failures on the c30 series, so who knows what the reason was, perhaps profit margin?

I'm going to stay with my current cams for now and see how the power is. I'm aiming to make the most power under 6k rpm with my ATI pulley and based on my calculation i would have to use something like a 93mm pulley while maintaining a redline of 7k making me overspin the impeller by roughly 5% (i think it is safe since most of my time is spent below 6krpm). I roughly punched in some number for you with stock pulley and it looks like 85mm is the way to go if you keep 6.5k rpm and stock pulley. I guess that is why GTM made the 85mm pulley for the 7040....go figure haha. I think reaching your goal of 360/330 with the c30-94 is gonna be no problem, the problem is gonna be your butt craving for more afterwards.

I'm also overseas right now, prolly spend 75% of my time over in asia for work and during that time I prolly do 95% of my purchases. Idle time is killer for your wallet.... So many things to do and yet so little money...

Interesting... before you responded I couldn't find anything on the info either. I plan on doing light autocrossing and NASA so I'm thinking I'll be above 6k. I think 85mm may be too aggressive but knowing that 10psi may be max for the C30-94 I think I can play with the pulley diameters until I find something that works but I'll have to find out when the Z's on the dyno.
