My philosophy was "do all the big stuff at one time" You're already talking about dropping the engine twice and changing turbo sizes down the road. Granted if you are doing the labor yourself or have that kind of additional income go ahead, but you've already talked about not having down time. So, I think you need to relook your goals and budget.
If you could have posted this about ten posts earlier it would have been nice lol I think this is the general consensus!! Haha

The only work I would not be able to do myself is building the engine and tuning, and I know a few good local shops around here for that. The income isn't a problem either, I'm planning to spend at least the price of the car new on it. (Just not all at once, lol.)

But I'd try to do everything engine-transmission related at once. Does this please the FI gods? lol.

I don't mind changing turbo sizes though, in fact I could probably reuse them for another car.

hell, i did my first round over the price of my car with labor, so you should have extra change to go around then! Happy boosting!

Greedy tt kit, 5-6 psi, good tune, 380whp and you may get years of enjoyment on your stock block. Don't push it and drive it easy. Or buy a used Vortech kit for 2500, have some safer fun and when you get all your money saved up sell the Vortech for your tt kit.

there wont be severe power loss. I drive my car daily with no boost and it runs fine.

My turbo doesn't spool until 4300 rpms so when i'm just driving it normal it's all motor and it doesn't have a single bit of problems driving and definitely doesn't seem slow on motor.

It also will cause ZERO damage. A low compression motor doesn't require any boost to run properly.
