Vortech Install... Final HP numbers!
My Vortech install is complete. I'm really happy with the job the shop (cpracing.com) has done and the time they have put into tuning the car after the install. I'll post the Dyno sheet later, but here are the numbers:
N/A: 264 HP at Crank (217 rwhp)
w/Vortech: 400 HP at Crank (328 rwhp)
After installing the kit, the A/F ratio was too low (about 9.0), but one of the chips in the kit is apparently computer programmable, so the tuner was able to set the A/F ratio across the RPM range to the 11/12 range.
Since I live about 3 hours away from the installer, I decided to have them go ahead keep the car tomorrow and over the weekend to do some around town driving to make sure that everything is good and that the car is going to be reliable. So, it's going to be Tuesday before I can go get the car. I can't wait!!
BTW, from what they tell me, the car isn't overly loud at idle, but the BOV is pretty darn loud when shifting at high RPMs.

Very nice G35 sedan. When I first read the numbers they didn't add up, but then I saw the sedan in your sig. Good idea leaving the car with the installers for a few days. Not all problems are evident right away.

What PSI is the stock setup running at? fastvtecCL, I'm assuming you're the installer; any initial impressions as to fitment, tuning, etc. etc.? Any other mods on the car?

BOV
Good news. I would expect the BOV to be loud, given the open air venting. You may want to consider asking them if they could to plumb the BOV exhaust back into the
inlet tract after the air filter and before the compressor. This could quiet it down mucho.

it wasn't very easy but we made it work as for the tuning part, it took almost all day to tune the car. it was runing VERY rich (mid 9's a/f) but with the help of undergroundracing's (our sister shop right next door) laptop comp and dyno jet.. we got the car runing great with the final a/f reading of high 11's to low 12's (12.1) all the way across the bord

I think its time you get with technosquare and see if they can crack the sedan ECU and raise that rev limiter. The torque curve is nasty and the HP keeps rising and rising, with a 7k rev limit I see 350whp as an easy task. Headers and full exhaust you could probably see 370whp
