Ultimate Racing Turbo Kit SNEAK PEAK!
Hey guys,
Well much has happened since we posted last. As most of you all know, our plans were to build an affordable SINGLE TURBO KIT for the 350z. We had spec'd a single turbocharger that would work so well with the 350z motor. Single turbo, large enough to make use of the V6 motor, and still be efficient in the lower boost levels. We waited weeks to receive it from California as the wild fires made it almost impossible for us to receive it in a reasonable time. When we finally received it, we went straight to work on our prototype Z. Here came the problems. As many of you knew already the engine bay offers less than ideal space to work with. Bottom line, fitting the turbocharger would be next to impossible. Physically, it just wouldn't fit! I suppose for a one-off custom job, we could definitely do it, but with quite a bit of cutting and rearranging of engine bay components. Just not ideal for a production turbo kit that would be offered to the public. We knew it would be tight, but if there was a chance at all that it would fit, we had to take it! We immediately scratched that plan and began working on something different. Of course, a TWIN TURBO KIT
We've taken a good look at how the other guys have designed their kits and I must say we are not impressed! Judging by most pictures available, installation would require a GREAT deal of cutting and rearranging! I was really surprised that large companies like that would offer such a cruddy kit.
We are about 70% done at this point and everything is going well. Mind you, this is the toughest turbo kit we have ever had to make. Here's what we are working with now:
- Twin Garrett T3 Turbochargers
- Twin Heavy Gauge Steel Turbo Manifolds
- Twin HKS External Wastegates w/ Stainless Dump Tubes
- Large Bar and Plate Intercooler (which retains the factory bumper reinforcement bar!)
- Equal Length Turbo Outlets joined into a Y
- Polished Stainless Steel Intercooler Piping with Beaded Ends
- Stainless Steel Radiator Coolant Pipe
- HKS Super Sequential (SSQV) Blow-Off Valve
- Ultimate Racing 440cc Fuel Injectors
- Greddy E-Manage Computer
Now for the pictures of our progress (56k Warning!):
The Engine Bay
Please Note the TWIN EQUAL LENGTH turbocharger outlets joined into one!
The Twin Turbos and HKS External Wastegates
The Manifold (well, not a good shot! but you get the idea!)
New Stainless Steel Coolant Pipe
Let me know what you all think!

Comparisons are the best way one can make educated decisions about similar products. In this case we have a company who is introducing their own kit and at the same time giving their opinions about someone elses product. I dont know about you but until now ive never heard that the Greddy kit or PE kit or whatever involves serious cutting and relocating parts. This info makes me rething my plans for the future. I would hardly call that bashing. More like food for thought.
If I personally was doing a kit I would take everyone elses product rip it apart and point out each and every thing that was wrong with it with as much bashing as possible in the process. This why mine is better than everyone elses. Thats prolly because I am an a$$hole
Imo there is no point in sugarcoating ****. If a kit is garbage let the world know. Given their background these guys obviously know wtf they are talking about. If they wanted to bash I am sure they could have sat down and typed a 20 page essay about why the greddy kit for example is a pos. That didnt happen here. I dont see anything unprofessional whatsoever.
I am looking forward to more pics and info.
