Maybe you can be the first to try out the new PTE 6766 turbo . Sounds like they are going to be good:

Not exactly FI but Im not starting another thread just for this. Just finished my Car PC build I have been working on and wanting a very stealth gauge cluster, an almost stock appearing interior with some minor tweaks.

CarPC
CentraFuse Auto w/ Nav
Palmer Dash Command II embeded into Centrafuse Shell
GTR Dash Skins, and piggybacked boost gauge.

why should the gtr get all of the cool ****, I am working on a custom skin for the Centrafuse to go with my Nissan Z theme. I totally ripped off all the pages from a stock GTR Gauge Cluster and using a VM7000 7" Touch Screen & Verizon 4g LTE USB modem, not just to fit all this crap into the Z.

Ill post a write up and maybe make a few extra setups for people who want all the fun stuff for a fraction of the cost.

carpcs are sweet. i bought the nav housing and replaced it with a 7" VGA touch screen as well in my G. run off a ARock 300 dual core atom MB with ion graphics. 2gig mem with a 60gig solid state. Cold boots Win7 Ultimate in like 15seconds. using of of those neat mp3car power supplies that auto startup and shutsdown.

i dont use it as a radio, so dont use centrafuse. just double click the garmin icon to load my nav, and load the web browser to stream my favorite radio stations.

i'd like to see the breakdown on parts for the screen in the cubby for a car pc. I would like to run my haltech software to display gauges there so i dont have to wire up my wideband gauges and make a fiberglass mount for them. I have a non-nav car so no screen at all.

how did you mount them? I'm too lazy to build some wild fiberglass mounts. I don't have time with grad school.

pics would be nice if you could email them to me and how you built your mount for them.

ya mine was non-nav as well. the monitor housing was cheap. Paid a fortune for the nav control finisher peice though. without it, you have like a 2" gap in front of the screen. Also ruined a couple 300$ monitors in the process til I finally got it right. blah... and now without haltech, it doesnt even perform the function that I wanted it for, virtual gauges...

I have a non nab as well with an 03 nav cubby i bought, but I have a real good friend who can fiberglass very well so I may have something a little more custom in mind.

Until I can cleanly interface the haltech with the software i have, I will just have to keep my laptop in the car as well. I have a dedicated Dell m700 laptop in there for viewing 02 info. I have no desire to touch Hal's tune though.
