Thumbs down Performance motorsports in ny. Stay away from them!!

So a year after my horrible experience with Performance Motosports, I'm still getting screwed by them. So incase you guys haven't heard about my story before, check out these two links to catch up.

https://my350z.com/forum/8979190-post72.html

https://my350z.com/forum/9234417-post34.html

So now, fast forward to last Friday (09/30/2011). Me and a couple of friends (06z33, trynalivepro, 350zion and etz) hit up R/T Tuning. 06z33 went to get his Turbonetics setup tuned for the first time, and I went to get my TT setup retuned.

So the 800cc injectors that Performance Motorsports said they couldn't tune were sitting inside my car for a while. I decided to put them into the car before I got it retuned. I never touched these injectors since Performance took them out my motor and replaced them with the 440cc's they made me buy. They put my injectors in a ziplock bag and put it away in the compartment behind the passenger seat for me.

So I'm getting the 800cc injectors installed and it turns out one of the injectors is missing a clip. Performance did another shitty job while removing those injectors and screwed one up. I purchased those injectors about a year ago, and they've stopped making that specific model since. I was forced to buy a new set since I couldn't get a replacement for that specific one. So that's already $600.00 added to my bill because of Performance Motorsports.

I'm already pissed as is, but that's not even the bad part. Here's where **** get's really effed up. So my car goes on the dyno getting ready to be tuned. We're all watching from the window in anticipation. So the tuner gets out the car and comes into the office, I'm thinking in my head, please don't let it be bad news.

So he asks me if my car was tuned before, I replied yes.

He asked me if i was positive that it was tuned? I said yeh, it was tuned by Performance Motorsports last year. I have the dyno sheet for the tune at home.

So I asked him why? what's going on?

He said that he plugged the computer in and the software is telling him that my car has a stock ecu, it was never reflashed. He carries me to the computer and he shows me. It said "stock ecu".

I'm freaking heated right now, like boiling with anger. I called up Alex from Performance Motorsports and ask him what's the deal.

He said "what do you mean your car is stock, we have the roms right here in our system for your car."

I gave the phone to the tuner and let him talk to Alex. So after they talk, I ask the tuner what did he say. He said Alex told him that I must've took the car to a dealership and they reset my ECU to stock.

REALLY? ARE EFFIN YOU KIDDING ME? I took my salvage, highly modified car to a freaking dealership to get serviced? How retarded can those people at Performance be. That's the stupidest excuse you can come up with?

Those guys are scum. I paid $1600.00 at Performance for what? For them to install injectors that I didn't need. I've been driving my car around on a stock ECU for an entire year! Thank god I don't abuse my car, my motor could've suffered drastically.

I had to pay an additional $300 for an Uprev License that I SHOULD'VE ALREADY HAD. I'm guessing that they also gave me a fake dyno sheet as well stating that I made 437whp.

I advise you to spread this around and make sure nobody ever does business with this shady company again. Hopefully you never have to go through what I went through. I'll be posting this on as many forums as I can.

Sorry to hear the news. Did you get a tune from Vince after buying another license?

Yes sir. He walked me through the entire process as well. He showed me that he purchased the license, then he also showed me that he re-flashed my ECU.

R/T Tuning is an awesome shop. They stayed back until 9pm on Friday, making sure that my car was done. I was extremely happy with their customer service.

I haven't done anything except to share my story on the forums. Hopefully it makes them lose business, which would be enough to satisfy me.

It's not worth it for me to take time off work to go to court for $1600.00. It's more the principle behind the situation. The fact that they could do someone something like that is just mind-blowing. It's a really dirty thing. Someone trusts you to perform a duty, and you screw them over.

I'm not sure what they can say to defend themselves. There was not software on my ECU. My car was running on a stock ECU.

Yeh, everything is sorted out for me now. I carried my car to R/T Tuning, and got it actually tuned this time.

That was bs man....the excuse that was given was just rediculous...why would anyone take a modified salvaged title car to a dealership? On top of that, lets say someone did...the dealership wont just say hey let me flash his ecu....they wont even touch that thing....all you'll hear fromany dealership is your warranty is voided (which you never had in the first god damn place) have a nice day

This doesn't make any sense. I'm not a performance fan or their inflated dyno but I was with you @ the tnr dyno day in queens when you made. 440whp or so. I don't think the graph they gave you was fake. The broken injector is messed up but after a year there's no way anyone would fess up to that. Why you don't have an uprev license on your car I have no idea. Do you have any reciepts?

Also, I'm almost certain T&R dyno reads a bit high.

I feel bad for my boy Russel, Performance Motorsports did him dirty. Probably were hoping that motor blew just so he can bring it back and get the job to rebuild it and take your pockets for a ride. I would never go there. When Vince came out of the car and came back in the room and told him that, we were all in shock.
Russel isn't the only one, there's an infamous forum member on here that gets banned on here at least once a month that I'm pretty cool with that also had issues with PM. At the time he was banned, texting back and forth he sent to my email this long story that he wanted me to post for him in the North East section about Performance Motorsport having his car for a month and getting the run around, putting him on hold and never coming back to the phone, lol etc to install exhaust, injectors and an uprev tune. The day I was suppose to make that thread for him he texts me and says "don't post it, I got my car back". I guess he was just so happy to get his car back, **** probably blew up with him in the car since it's a DE lol, come to think of it I haven't heard from him since, madhatter where the hell are you, lmao.

Russel car was making about 300-320whp on his GReddy 20g setup with the fakeRev tune!!! When him and 350zion were doing pulls you factor in 350zion's 260lbs and his son's 170lbs and Russel was riding solo, 350zion was still pulling on him (stock block BP kit approx 382whp).

^ Thats true. Forgot about that. 350zion's BP kit was pulling ahead the whole time before the REAL tune.
