Since I found out that the Haltech unit doesn't have any internal fuses I rather try to power things from another source then risking doing something wrong and blowing my haltech up

so you dont want to wire up the solenoid correctly, then complain it draining your battery?

Odd way of doing things over there in Dublins.

Guess the idea of putting the fuse between the haltech and solenoid never crossed your mind? But running a fused wire directly to the battery did?

Was told to wire it in the way it's wired, never thought I'd drain the battery, thus posted here. I'd rather avoid finding out which of the cables to use coming out of the haltech and use another switched source, what's so wrong with that?

had a hard time finding out which cable of the 3 to use for the bcs, the APS solenoid comes with the fuse. Again was told to hook it up that way so didn't question why... What fuse would you stick in between the + (whichever that might be) and the Haltech? 5amp,10amp,15amp...

I would put the smallest fuse possible that does not cause nuisance trips.

Maybe 2 amp?

that's how it is wired. When the car is off the haltech is off so now drain on the battery.

about putting a fuse on it, i have no idea. Put a fuse on both of them i guess. I hope it doesn't cause interference with the solenoid though.
