Default Stillen about to announce HR kit

It uses the Vortec V3 as in the 370Z application as opposed to the Roots on the DE...will clear the hood now too.
Here is e mail that was sent to me today:

"
..We are working on a new press release for the 350Z.. it is available, and better it has both the CARB approval, and has the optional engine/drivetrain warranty"

so stillen in reselling a vortech system? doesnt make much marketing sense. but i guess momentum and powerlabs are based on the same turbo, so its the same situation.

Well..I would suggest you do a search on the 370/G37 cars that have it on. Pretty impressive and CARB legal for us Cali guys. Oh..this is also an INTERCOOLED (air to water) unit as well. The Vortec direct systems for the DE are not intercooled.

here it is:

There's a guy here who just installed one on his HR. Don't know if it was CARB approved at that time though. The reason I think it's going to be announced very soon, is that they just got CARB 50 state for the 370 (last month) and that will now spill over to the 350. They're basically the same kit.
It's going to happen very soon.

here it is:

All Vortech systems for the 350Z are intercooled. They just use an air to air style.

vortechs have been carb certified and intercooled since they were released in 2004.

This isn't a Vortech kit. It is Stillen's kit which uses a Vortech blower. It is no more a Vortech kit than the GTM TT is a Garrett kit.

How reliable are these on a daily driver? Is there anything else I have to upgrade since my HR is AT?

Why is that picture of a turbo charger labeled as a supercharger?

I think this Vortec version is very reliable..it's also a self contained (lubricated) unit. Only upgrade they advise for base kit (8lbs CARB legal..canned tune) is a good catback exhaust.

If I ever were to go FI, this would be my choice...very compact set up and reliable. Personally, I don't want more than 6-7lbs and 350WHP on my car.

Have them take a look at the pics in this thread...very detailed. It's a G37 set up but should be identical for 350Z. Pretty FOOKIN' SWEET..NO?
