Default Turbonetics with APS oil pan

I am having the usual turbo smoking issues. My first step is to check the return line routing. Is there anyone that could provide me with some pictures how how they routed their Turbonetics setup with APS oil pan if any? Worst come to works i will tap the oil pan like the installation instructions show. Thanks.

Hey, since you are up in Dallas, give Jotech a call. They should be able to help. Tony, the store manager, has a turbonetics system. Don't think he has the APS oil pan, but they should be able to help you. They are in the Garland area.

theres really no trick, al you have to do is make sure that the oil line doesnt have any kink, goes up hill, or makes tight bends. With stainless line, is pretty tough to get a kink.

I imagine your oil pressure to the turbo is too high and blowing past the oil ring.

@suprasam i whish i was in dallas, i have been to Jotech, i bought my wideband from them, but i am currently located in oklahoma..

i checked my returnline and it does not have any kinks in it, but it goes in a "j" line to the oil pan..

Ill see if i cant upload pics.

Also can you guys tell me a good replacement turbo for the turbonetics system? Doesnt have to be ball bearing or anything special, i just want a bolt on and go with similar specs.

Thanks.

easiest and cheapest would just have the CHRA overhauled. Turbonetics, Blouch, forced performance, etc.... all rebuilt turbos. Probably about 300$

another thing is, this turbo was rebuilt from turbonetics when i received it, it had the "rebuilt" tag on it and everything... i mean turbonetics turbos can leak on less than 1000 miles of used after a rebuild?

have you checked the oil pressure to the turbo? yes a rebuild can fail that early if there is too much oil pressure.

what size feed line are you using and are you using a restrictor?

all parts and accessories that came with the kit..

whats the best way to check oil pressure to the turbo? i have the stock oil pressure sensor in the car and it seems to look fine

now that i think about it there was some sort of fitting on top of the turbo where the oil feed goes, not sure if it is a restrictor or not though.. i guess i will have to pull it off and take a look...
