swinke,
Yes Nissan did make some changes to the car . Doug from Crawford Z Car had to make two different STB's for under the hood. Those for dates pre 10-03 and those for post. My date is October so my engine bay STB uses bigger bolts. That to me is a major change. He had to send a new set of bolts!
I do not know if anything else changed but if it helps you I have 6 stock Nissan Injectors with about 2400 miles on them and a Nissan stock fuel pump with the same miles. Niether have ever saw boost.
You have to fall before you learn to fly and I fell, my engine blew, it went lean on the Dyno with the FMU. Did it have too? We may never know. I bought a brand new engine with new part number (2004 engine.)
Now, to resolve this I added larger injectors (from 280-290cc's depending on who benches them) to 380cc's and I upgraded my stock Nissan fuel pump that is a 210L to a SARD 280L, and I am not lean at all. I can be 11.5 at 6800 if I want!
Of course I'm sure you know that I had to have my ECU reflashed to control the larger injectors and change the timing. I started with the HO Kit as you call it and ended up with a tuner kit. Taking a major loss and then spending:
800 Injectors
290 Fuel Pump
600 Flash
Works like a charm I can do 9 pounds with these injectors and fuel pump. So if you need to do any testing stuff with 6 stock injectors or a stock fuel pump let me know and good luck.

I should read what is says on my old ones. They are sitting in a box in the garage but it's 34 degrees out there and I just came in out of that crap. They came out of my new engine 2004
I was told the stockers had bench tested between 270-290's cc's and never new why the .20 discrepency. I still think pushing redline with stock injectors is risky with the stock fuel system but hey, that's just me.
I have always saw Bosche listed as a part number.

Sorry, correction and clarification.
The change date for the STB is Oct 2002, not 2003. I can't believe I have had this car over a year. Also the injectors and fuel pump are spoken for and I *did* ditch the Aeromotive FMU. Not sure if all is that is clear.

So it sounds like, in order to make some power with the ATI kit and have good reliability, a person should just buy the tuner kit, some injectors, a fuel pump and get a TS flash? SOUNDS easy enough. Is it?

Why is it that when a few folks get lucky with the correct combination of factory parts, the lucky production run of the car from the factory, and may even have a high altitude home for the car that requires less fuel for their engine to exist happily w/o detonation they are always very quick to point out how the conclusions the rest of us have come up with must be ludicrous and ill thought out?
Once again, I am not the only one with this problem.
God bless the rest of you who got lucky! I am glad this didn’t happen to everyone that bought the ATI SC kit.
Before you jump to conclusions and reply hastily to this post please exercise some foresight and intelligence and read this whole thread!
