LOL@ all of this. ive been gone and only to return to the same drama.

I dont care what you say, a SC car is easier to drive than a turbo car. Its 100% my opinion and my driving style.

...and we should listen to a guy named Joker and take him serious!? yall crack me up.

Alberto, you know me and even with the (free built block) I still made 480ish on the blower for about $5500.

there is a reason i have a blower and not turbos. I have been around and driven and owned both.

Hell my wifes Jetta GLI (2006) was a fun car, but it was a PITA to drive in traffic and daily driving (with my particular driving style) I prefer the blower anyday over a turbo set up.

Thats my opinion, my recommendation to the OP, and all of yall can eat it.

Alberto do you daily drive your Z anymore? NO! Obviously you have huge hp and we can always stay out of boost. However, the OP is not like you or I (opinion gathered from original post) so I recommended the ease of the blower for him. Not saying one can not learn and drive a turbo car. I have done it and learned it, however the blower was ten times easier, and in my opinion way more fun in a daily situations.

Id recommend the Stillen SC in light to light traffic for the most fun in traffic, followed by ATI, HKS (if they make one for him) or Vortech.

or if he wanted turbos get the small JWT kit or the small APS kit.

but huge greddy or APS extremes suck IMO in traffic fun.

For example I specifically remember being behind a turning bus. I got in the other lane and gave her some gas because cars were coming up behind us, the car got into boost and the FWD was all over the daum place. Not really a big deal but the boost with a blower is more linear, thus better to control and perdict. Thats what I meant by easier that turbos.

I dont DD my Z because I choose not to, not because I cant. My first built setup I DD for 1yr even fawked around spinning down the road in the middle of winter, and HAD FUN.

"huge Greddy or APS extremes suck in traffic fun??"" WTF is traffic fun? Saying you disliked even your wifes Jetta says a lot about your driving lol, you also admit FWD sucks, and we already know that.

Nothing that is easy is rewarding IMO or worth doing. Having all your power up top with a feminine TQ curve is not for me.

Dont even know why DD is a part of this conversation, you can stay out of boost with either setup and drive like NA.

edit-have you posted a dyno of your recent big numbers? I want to see your power curve.

It's not like turbo boosting is a raped ape trying to bust out and turn you sideways as soon as you're not paying attention. It's all about having a steady foot and knowing your vehicle. I would argue that SC is more likely to bust loose with typical leadfoot frivers since the power comes on instantly instead of building up.

BTW I pull bus lengths on SC setups with with similar peak numbers. Without downshifting. Haven't lined up with any serious SC VQ's yet though.

a similar (429rwhp/405rwtq) car like yours was had in 4th while he was in 3rd.

you are correct in full throttle will break loose but you wouldnt do that in a SC set up. You will be more likely in a turbo due that wait time. Just like in the situation I mentioned, i floored it out of panic from no responce. I wouldnt need to worry as to the pedel feel is always there and you know how much to give it.

once again you can learn any car and build up a good experience but driving sc set ups are what I like the most.

There's nothing wrong with that. It mainly depends on where you live and what kind of laws are in that area. Where I'm at, it would just be stupid for someone to DD a car with dual 3" pipes.

He may have had palsy this proves nothing.

You have the stories but no track numbers to back up the performance, DJAMPS does...

Well shoot, I know turbo cars have the advantage in torque and potential whp numbers but after I swapped out the bearings and impellers on my sc my car now sound like a darned F-16.

Can't beat that, even if you are faster.
