Got it all welded up, ready to do the passenger side.

Getting excited to get this all together to show some numbers. Waiting on a package from Injected Performance

curious as to why you made shorty headers when you have full 1 off kit. why not make the headers extend all the way to the xover and take advantage of long tube flow characteristics

Been doing it for 10yrs I can teach just about anyone to weld like me. It's all in the prep. Welding is 25% of fabrication, that's my opinion

These are the same size tubing I use to make high hp app manifolds. With the size tubing and the length I will still be able to max out just about everything before exhaust becomes a bottleneck. I have full confidence exhaust will not be an issue until about 800whp.

This is my fav!! Single turbo for BMW 335i using a pt72. This was a crazy manifold to build, by far the most interesting.

Although you are right, I agree with str8 (again). Might as well just extend them and have them collect down on the same plane as the turbos.
That's what my mid mount setup is doing (and has been the plan since this time last year, SLOW build). From Sasha's pics, I should have plenty of room for the "cross-over" pipes to meet under the transmission and avoid a ton of bends.
That'll clean up the sound a ton (boxer sound is not my thing), and if it does scrape/break anything, just use v-band clamps remove and replace or remove+weld up. Especially if you have the turbo well secured somewhere, all you have to remove are the flange bolts and the clamps worst case scenario. Of course if the car is lowered, it's a much worse scenario.
I'm interested to see how much room we have for the charge pipe with the longtubes...

Made these rails a few weeks ago that will be excepting 1000cc inj. Here is the pump I'll be installing sometime next week. I still have to fabricate a fuel surge tank to feed the pump.

Curious to see what the final design was for everything (including the intake manifold and intercooler end tanks) as well as curious to know what the results were. The quality of the fab work looked superior to any of the production kits.
