Default Vortech vs Turbo

hey everyone, I've got $10,000 to spend on my 06 z, and I wanted to put on a forced induction kit.

which do you think would be better for my z? im pretty new at forced induction, but i pretty much know the basics. I know that turbocharging is more reliable because it doesn't take away from the power of the motor, but the boost that a vortech makes is easier on the motor.

also, can the stock clutch handle that power level? and do i need a better radiator?

i want to make a reliable 550 horsepower on the stock block because im going to daily drive it.

which do you think i should do?

go to the classified and buy a used vortech, get the 3.12 pulley, no need to upgrade anything if you dont want to. you should be over 500hp easy with that set up. im shooting for 600hp on stock bottom end, but i have exhaust so that should help

Original post vs. Re-post.

This link should answer all of your questions. Its the bible to forced-induction. Good luck!
