Vortech V3 build begins
As stated in the title, my vortech V3 sci build begins tomorrow at Hill's Garage. I have been staring at this kit for about a month now waiting for this date to come. Cant wait to see the car finished. I'm hoping for 400whp which should be no problem. On to the official parts list. I've included prices for others just to see how expensive this process is. All parts were bough brand new.
Car Made 442.5 whp and 363wtq!

Vortech V3 SCI Tuner Kit - $3750.00

Bosch 650cc Injectors - $490.00

Walbro 255 Fuel Pump - $69.00

CJM Stage 0 Fuel Return system - $430.00

NGK Spark Plugs - $55.00

DC Sport Headers - $320.00 (bought local brand new)

GTM Dual Pulley Kit - $169.00

Motordyne Copper-iso Plenum Spacer - $249.00

Ark Grip Exhaust - $1289.00
AEM Digital Boost and Wideband Gauge - $333.00

Uprev MAF GT sensor - $350.00

Parts Already On The Car:
Fast Intentions Resonated Test Pipes
Osiris Uprev Tuning Software
Competition Clutch Stage 2 Clutch and Lightweight Flywheel
Skunk2 Plenum Spacer
Stillen Strut tower bar
The 928Motorsports 3.00 pulley does need to be modified a little to be able to fit, however it does highly reduce the chance of belt slippage.
The stillen strut tower bar would not clear the vortech bracket so i had to get a new spacer and using the stock strut bar because i didnt want to tun without a strut bar.
UPDATE #1:
I just took a trip down to the shop to see how everything was going. frank made a lot of progress on the car since i dropped it off on Wednesday. headers are wrapped and the new exhaust is on as well. here are some pictures of my visit.
The new exhaust: ARK Grip

The X-Pipe:

DC Headers wrapped from under the car:

DC headers wrapped shot through the engine bay:

Inside the car:

Car in the shop with a G35. G35 had the engine at the machine shop getting a built motor with a GTM twin turbo kit on it. Engine and trans were completely out of the car.

UPDATE #2
Waiting for supercharger and bracket to be put on

Very complete list there. I would add an oil pressure gauge.
Did you go with one or two step colder plugs?
How is 928 Motosports claiming that their 3" Pulley "highly reduce the chance of belt slippage" by itself? Isn't it just a regular smooth pulley?
EDIT: I'm retarded and got confused whether Zs came stock with oil pressure or oil temp gauges.... (fail)

I believe that their one step colder spark plugs and as far as the pulley thing goes here is a quote from 928M website.
"Our supercharger pulleys are made from a single 6064 alloy aluminum billet, and turned to an accuracy within .001 of an inch. Unlike poorly-made pulleys that have straight-cut belt vees - that cause belt slippage - ours are properly V-Cut for maximum belt contact!"
will do, i still have some things to figure out like where i want the gauges mounted because i want it to be sleeper-ish like modified NA Z but noone would ever expect Boost haha.
Note: completely stock motor, 35K miles for an 05 touring.

Its gonna be my daily driver, a lot of people around my area street race though. I chose the supercharger because of the price compaired to the turbo.
Yeah this tuner cost a lot, although last time he put an NA tune on my car i have yet to see a NA Z with the same mods make more power then me. I only trust this tuner in my area too.
I actually just began a very, VERY similar build on my 2006. Good luck, man. I know exactly how you must be feeling right about now
... And am I the only one who noticed that Vortech misspelled "Infiniti" on the instruction manual?
