Just about to start installing my new fuel pump and aam basic fuel return system, Do I need to do the fuel pump hanger mods if I have the aam basic? I know the pressure will be higher in the lines but will I be able to lower it using the frs? Reason im asking is im doing my vortech install in stages, i wont be installing my dw 600cc until i get the vortech so I dont have to do multi trips to my tuner.
if you have an AAM fuel system i would install it just like the instructions say. I'm not familiar with them but each system is designed to work in its own way.
the stock ecu has no way of knowing what the fuel pressure is. thats why you have a aftermarket regulator so you can set it to 50psi, like stock.
Yes I understand that but to fit the walbro (which I have no instructions for)
you need to increase the diameter of some pipes and do a few other things to the carrier to reduce the pressure (I presume) but why does this need to be done if I have a AAM FRS?
