Went on a good ride in the Z w the soho kit. It responds very well. Very nice kit. Very cool guys and super nice/clean shop. I'd buy this kit in a heartbeat if I weren't boosted already. Thanks for it all and we y'all at the ISO/stance festival.

Bump bump

Ever get any built engine numbers? Preferably pump and race gas numbers. Kit looks great, I am interested to see what kind of power it can make.

Still Interested!

Seeing that I've never owned a car above 280whp, I'm trying to keep my goals realistic for a pure street car. The naive part of me wants to have a twin turbo dyno queen but I'm really liking the idea of a nice 500whp every day driver, not that I drive it daily...

Also, I like what SOHO has done with the pluming!!! I really don't like name dropping with other manufactures so I'll just say that it's pretty sweet to see SOHO come out with a unique design that's gone a different direction. Like the other keeping the turbo in the engine bay, although warmer, I just like seeing the snail!

For those wondering what we ended up doing for the final intake on the SOHO Turbo Kit here it is. We tried many different methods and this is the best way that works on both the Z's and G's and allows sufficient airflow for the turbo. It features a K&N filter and stainless intake tube. For much more in depth info on our VQ35DE Single Turbo Kit check out our website www.sohomotorsports.com

Thanks for coming out guys, glad you were impressed by the kit. We can talk about it until we are blue in the face but sitting in the car and feeling it first hand really shows what its capable of

We should hopefully be doing that sometime the first half of next year

Didn't realize it but now that it's said I don't hear one either. I assume it's due to the position of the camera, low boost, and the effect of the exhaust. I don't believe you guys have a frontal view of the kit yet, video wise.

Yes, that video! I thought it was kinda strange... Maybe Robs right, position of the camera, low boost, and the effect of the exhaust? I have been reading alot about the SOHO kit and are very interested in learning more. I just had to ask cuz the BOV is such a lovely sound!

Even the 8psi video I couldnt hear it either...

I would reference the Momentum/Powerlab videos, they both use Tial BOVs.

Haha well you guys are correct, we have three videos out of the kit and you cant hear the BOV on any of them haha, my fault. The dyno videos are being recorded from behind the car and between the exhaust sound and the dyno noise you cant hear the BOV on either of those and on our race video im rev matching as much as possible and combined with wind noise you cant hear it on that one either haha. I will get a few fly by videos tomorrow

Until I post that video though here is a great sounding video of the Tial BOV on our Time Attack G35 (Momentum Kit, but same wg and bov) at an autocross so you can hear it very well - http://youtu.be/SNtmNPPbpX0

Or watch this video of fly by's.... obv the Silver Z and Black G are on the Momentum Kit (black G is ours) - http://youtu.be/eVmDNMomxD8

BOV's aren't as loud as fast and furious. Those are designed to make a lot of noise to make people think the car is fast (which is strange because if they hear a BOV that means the person is OFF the throttle).

At 650 hp I never hear my BOV. Even when on the dyno. That just means my BOV is large enough that the air released isn't going through a tiny hole that creates turbulence and thus loud noise. Like blowing through a straw verses blowing through a paper towel roll.

Default SOHO Motorsports Turbo Kit In Action!

The past week has been a fun week for us at SOHO Motorsports. On Saturday we had our first annual Open House at the shop where we opened the doors to all of the locals guys and had free burgers, hot dogs and raffle. It was a good showing for a laid back Saturday and all of the cars where on the lifts so everyone could see everything we have been working on lately. It was a fun way to finish out what has been a great 2012 for us at SOHO Motorsports. Check out the video here.

The following Sunday was our much anticipated last track day of the season, the 2012 Santa Run hosted by iTrack Motorsports at the brand new Atlanta Motorsports Park in Dawsonville, GA. With the SOHO Turbo 350Z ready for more abuse, aka R&D, we took it down to the F1 designed 16 turn beast that is AMP and put it through its paces from sun up to sun down. And boy did it run amazing. With perfect December Georgia weather of 75 and sunny the Z stayed perfect all day long, instant boost, perfect power curve, 400hp and 400tq, and handled pretty damn well as well with the addition of sway bars the day before the event. The SOHO 350Z was one of the fastest cars on the track all day. Check out the video here, it gives a great representation of what the kit is capable of along with the sights and sounds of the kit from different angles. Enjoy.
