I've no clue about the turbo you're taking about... but I know one thing TN kits are trash... "throw it away"... I have tried it personally and it sucks.. If I where you I wouldn't post stuff about this kit... just do a lil search over the forum on how the TN kits threads end with...

You might need to significantly modify the Turbonetics kit to make a S360 fit. Doesn't the S360 have a 4" inch compressor inlet and a 3" turbine outlet? If so, the Turbonetics downpipe will be too small and you'll either have to ditch the intake pipe or will have to run a 4" to 3" reducer to fit it onto the S360 compressor housing. Also, does your S360 have a twin scroll turbine housing? If so, you'll need to swap to a tangential turbine housing.

IMO, it would be easier to retrofit an S360 into a top mount kit that already has a 3" downpipe such as PowerLab, Momentum, or S&R. I also think a Precision 6266 CEA turbo would be a better choice and possibly an easier swap versus the Borg Warner S360.

yeah i would have to just have the guy installing it cut off the t3 flange and weld on a t4 .....its a single scroll so were good there and yeah its 4 inch on the inlet which is no big deal i already have a filter here in the house from my fd3s that slips right on.....all in all in not concered with getting the turbo on and getting it to fit im trying to figure out if it will run pretty good with the set up and make more hp at lower psi because it is a bigger turbo i believe then the turbonetics one

What are your power goals? The output and spool of the S360 should be fine for a VQ application. However, the Turbonetics kit really is a sh!tty kit to add an upgraded higher output turbo to. The Turbonetics wastegate is crap and the intercooler is too small for anything beyond stock block power. I'd replace the wastegate to a TiAl unit and upgrade to a larger intercooler core.

Well, none of the turbo kits for the VQ come with Borg Warner turbos and I don't recall ever seeing anyone with a custom Borg Warner setup (let alone on a Turbonetics kit) post up a build thread or results on this forum. There was barely a little bit of buzz or interest expressed here in the FI section when the new Borg Warner EFR turbos came out. I don't know why, but Borg Warner turbos never gained any popularity on the VQ platform.

Since then, Sound Performance did some testing on a Toyota Supra with both the EFR and the new Precision billet CEA turbos. The Precision turbos made more power and spooled nearly as fast. Precision turbos have become more popular on the VQ platform over the last couple years and more of the newer kits are featuring them.

It would be interesting to see what your results are though with a Borg Warner turbo. Good luck!

You can't go wrong with the 75.9mm turbine wheel, in a T4 .88 a/r housing. The compressor flows 68 lbs/min, so you are good there as well. This turbo could probably get you to 600whp with a proper engine build.

It seems that all the ST kits for the first few years suffered from the same issue on the VQ, all having the common T3 housing. Only after T4 turbos were introduced people started making 500+whp with these cars (pump gas), and now some are well in to the 600's. Momentum was also able to get in to the 500's with a Tial 1.06 a/r V-band housing, but they are no longer around.

Treat the 350z like the FD when it comes to turbos. Big turbine housings will get you where you want to go. I built a few turbo manifolds for the FD's, they are all T4 twin scroll and most people run either the 6266 or 6766 turbos with the 1.0 or 1.15 a/r housings to keep the exhaust back pressure to a minimum.
