Default oil catch can ques. for vortech users

I'm trying to finish piecing together a used vortech v2 kit. I'm missing the pcv hose that runs to the intake filter, as well as the fittings. I did purchase a mishimoto oil catch can, and am wondering if that eliminates the need to run that hose to the intake filter?

Thanks

You can replace that hose with almost any generic hose available at an auto parts store. You also do not need to hook that hose up to the supercharger's intake filter. Folks just install a breather filter directly onto that port at the rear of the motor, or install the filter at the end of a short length of hose. Its been a long time since I read the vortech instructions, but I believe the latter alternative is mentioned in there too. See the exchange that begins here:

As for the catch can, it depends on which one you go with. I believe that would work for ones like ARC's, but some catch cans do not hook up to the driver side port.

Thanks bigc. very much appreciated.
I just picked up a mishimoto catch can. So, I'll just install a breather then.
