Default Vortech and meth or nitrous

So i currently have a Vortech kit, 3.12 pulley, on my Daily Driven Z for almost a year now and about 7,500 miles on the kit so far. 43k on the car. The car made 442whp and 363 wtq.
Build thread here: https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...ld-begins.html

However I want more power now... I really am aiming for around 500whp and 400wtq on my stock block. I currently have three ideas that i am toying around with doing to achieve this goal.

1. Aquamist direct port meth injection into all 6 runners for an even 50/50 distribution to all of the cylinders and the 2.87 pulley

2. Bigger intercooler, 2.87 pulley, custom cold air intake

3. 50 shot of nitrous using a ZEX nitrous kit

I know that both the meth and nitrous would cool down the internal engine temperatures

What do you guys think about these ideas?

10k engine build if you go this route. And if u do that might as well get a turbo kit on there while the engine is down. 20k later you will have your power, maybe...

Waste of time and money. When the rods fail it will destroy everything and cost you far more down the road than a regular build.

Going up that amount in power won't even be worth the difference. Just changing a few things going from 507hp to 540hp on my car felt almost the same on the street. On a strip my times would have improved but I would never pay a huge amount or risk blowing an engine over it unless this was a strictly drag car.

Doesn't matter how much cooling you have on this engine, the rods will fail due to the forces on them. There are some rare cases of engines holding up but only for short periods of time and the owner didn't care since he had a build already going.

meth and nitrous are not equal…meth is used to cool your intake charge and decrease the chance of detonation and nitrous is concentrated oxygen…

Keep your power where it's…rebuild your block and go turbo if you want more power...

Don't try to up it unless you have the cash in the bank for a built motor when this one goes... Because it will let go at around those power levels, just a matter of time.

But with what you are asking.... Meth...

yeah i was gonna put some meth and a smaller pulley. i feel like that would be the most reliable route. might just get a new intercooler and call it a day. that way i will have less psi drop and make a little more boost...

Just leave everything alone man. Who or what are you trying to be faster than? Do you track the car as well? Just enjoy the car and power AND the size of your wallet. It will thank you later.

#2 is the obvious choice. easy and inexpensive.
also make sure you are actually tuned for MBT with the fuel you are using. I bet 99% of the cars tuned are nowhere near MBT.

Did you have a vortech set up on your car for a while making 500whp?

I did, with a built block.

If you don't have the money for a built block then I wouldn't do anything. Nothing is safe over the stress point of those rods. At that point it's just a matter of when.

Adding a shot of nitrous to a FI vehicle will equate for almost threefold what you jet. I would almost guarantee a busted 350z. If you want a little more power the smaller pulley and meth is your best option.
