You know you can always powder coat another 2 XXR 521 18x10 and throw those up front, I had those up front when in had a 350Z, with a 275 up front, with my fenders rolled up fit a 295/35/18 in back, probably could fit a 305

haha you get used to seeing where the track is. and i will have to give the drag strip a shot 1 of these days. i have never been a fan of drag racing, and with these tires i have no first/some of second but why not . i would love to borrow a set of drag slicks for the rear and give it a real shot tho. we will see.

How did you determined your rev limit?

Your SC gearing with a 6.12 damper, 32/28 cog and 2.87 is nearly identical to
My SC gearing with a 5.75 damper, 34/28 cog and 2.87.

I rev to 7100 rpm and my stock V2 SC-Trim blower is holding up fine. (62,314)

The Ti-Trim is a much tougher blower, I think it can handle the 2.87 and 7400rpm

You could also try

1. Raise your rev limiter to 7700rpm and the 3.12 SC @ (62,314)
or
2. Lower your rev limiter to 7200rpm and 2.87 SC @ (63,343)

and see how it works for you.

tim i calculated it with the 3.12 at 7400 rpm = 59,839.36
with the 2.87 at 7400 rpm it was 65156.1 rpm which is where it let go.

im sure this blower can handle it better then the last 1 but i cannot really afford to chance it much... what i may do is spin the 3.12 to 7600 rpm maybe for the extra power band.. however i will have the 2.87 with me.. at this point i really want longevity of the blower so the less over spinning the better..

how long have u been overspinning that blower to those rpms tim? if you had to guess how many hard hard pulls has it seen?

not saying that 928m did something wrong with my bearing install when they did the 928m impeller but i have my wild thoughts every now and again considering my stock SC trim i was spinning with a stock crank pulley to 7200 all day for over 8 months of racing with no issues.

Blower has been on the car for 45,000 mile

1. last 12,000 miles ………..…blower @ 62,355rpm hundreds and hundreds of hard pulls
2. before that 20,000 miles blower @ 58,687rpm hundreds and hundreds of hard pulls
3. before that 8,000 miles blower @ 54,554rpm
and so on…….

Keep in mind there is always some SLIP with a Serp Belt.

When we refer to Belt Slip, we are talking about when the belt lets go and can't hold the load.

I think something happened at 928, may just have been out of balance.

His dyno numbers are almost the same as before, "604/445 with an extremely slipping belt at 17psi" on the 3.12 pulley

It's about the same slightly diff in how quickly it builds boost up top which breaks traction in second gear but it's deff a blast to try and control.

I did throw a lean bank 1 sensor 1 at the race which once it came on and I turn the car off it would have issues starting right up had to give it a little throttle for it to crank but still raced fine the rest of the day I reset the code but it's not the first time it has popped up. I'm gonna check for exhaust leaks and then possibly replace that sensor...

Also awaiting a new tensioner in the mail to install the green back and crank it down to see if she can make 20+psi again however the Poly carbon belts have not snapped once I spaced out the cog tensioner (thanks Tim) so all is well as of now

K060795HD

That's the 79.5". The next one up is a 80.6". However, You may want to take a look at Gates' catalog for a more complete listing.

just as an update car is still running like a champ. i was throwing cog belts for a little bit which threw me off. so i looked over my bracket and blower and found that i may have had the blower bracket just slightly incorrectly spaced (when i got the kit i didnt have all the correct sized spacer so i guessed) it ran perfectly fine like this for a long time but after i correctly installed and measured all spacers everything is good. few races down and who knows how many hard pulls to 7600rpm, i have been lazy and have not swapped tensioners or to the greenback belt yet but i have seen consequtive 20psi pulls even with this belt. but all is well :-) oh i also switched to the 400 times stronger cog belts just in case.
