vortech/stock block let go...so *knock on wood, reliable build thread ;-)
Will be doing a blackstone analysis next oil change just to begin watching what the oil is doing but the car truly has been great. Still no drag times tho unfortunately.
Little update as it's been some time. Over a year on the built motor. Endless track days and autox events w some solid street time and the IPP motor has taken everything I can throw at it Aswell as the ti trim blower. Have really enjoyed the car. Not sure if I ever did before but big thanks to those who helped me so much along the way esp you Tim (oldmanZ) for answering my million questions and a hand full of others. Glad I can be of help to those chasing the same path now with the knowledge this build gave me 👍
Nice, would really be sweet if you had time before the move to attend z nationals track day..lol Im headed to z1 tomorrow, gonna hang out and get a decibel reading on my tomei with and with out my silencer. As long as its under 98 decibel, I will be there.
Yea josh would be pretty awesome to see both cars in the same place. This pcs move just came up quick and this move to Texas will be rushed. I'm not fully ruling it out but most likely won't happen. Also I doubt mine will be under that decibel number. It's crazy loud at wot. Glad my local courses do not have sound restrictions, or atleast don't measure at the events lol
Yep been in 7 years active airforce. Right now I'm at moody in Georgia. Got vectored for a c130 tech school instructor spot at sheppard in witchita falls tx. It's where I did my tech school years ago haha 4 year tour there then a follow on of my choice. Which will either be back to south fla hopefully (macdill) or I may try and head to the west coast.
Good stuff Jax!! 👍.
Tim. Have you ever seen a setup like this? Have been in contact with him about it. He's out in the uk but it's deff a setup I've never seen. Zoom in on the belts n pulleys.

I'm guessing Jon@Z1 tuned your car. I'm sure you had a great experience as I did with him tuning your car. Did you get a bit scared at all the damn pulls he does to get the most out of your car cuz I did... LOL
Glad your car is running good and your racing the Hell out of it.

Yea Jon is my tuner and will continue to be as long as I own a vq. I wasn't scared because I knew what the car would be put threw once in my hands, I actually really enjoyed his enthusiasm to want to push more n more and keep tweaking. I've had tunes done from other shops before that lasted 30 min w 4 pulls and they tell me. That's all I can do. Jon just kept at it second time I was tuned w the ti trim I was there for a solid 4 hours or more of him doing work.. Great guy and great experience every time.
Could you blame a guy for being bored doing NA VQ tunes all day? Where is the fun in that! Now imagine you get a car with possibly the first Ti trim supercharger in it and you get to push it through it's paces!
Haha yea but Jon didn't know much about the blowers. When I first went in with the 928m and made 608 the first time before we got on the dyno he was telling me to expect high 400s and I explained to him what was done. He had never seen a over 500whp supercharged car at the time and didn't know much about the setups. Base tune he threw it on and it made 529. He hoped out the car and said whoa. Ok let's do this. Haha
looks like clutch setup. dunno why he'd use that unless he wasnt running the BPV or has some sort of emissions thing that the BPV air/noise wouldt let him pass.
