It's worth it but just know higher mileage means more risk of engine failure. As long as you understand that then it's all good.

What percentage of failures do you see with higher mileage motors w/boost binder?
I plan on going with a Vortech kit on my Z which has 107k on the odo and was going to build a block for real boost in the mean time. Your thoughts?

Ask yourself, if you blow your motor and you have to rebuild the motor and spend another 10k+ with all the other miscellaneous stuff that comes with it and that is on top of your turbo/SC cost then is it worth it? Also are you prepared to have a downtime where you cant drive your car for months while it is getting rebuild? You want to join the big boys club so you have to be ready to spend big boy $$$.

When i bought my G35 new back in 2005 I have always knew I will install a turbo/SC on the car. I took the plunge on 2007 and I knew the risk and well prepared if I blow my motor. If you accept the inevitable and you are prepared for it then yes it's worth it!
