I can't imagine that your engine is covered by any warranty from Stillen. Especially if you installed it yourself! Why would Stillen cover a blown engine if the installer made a mistake?

Bonz, when they take it apart, they will be able to tell what caused the problem.

I read the warrenty. It means nothing. If anyone's ever worked on their car or modded their engine, you have to be very ignorant to warrenty that job, espicially when it comes to boosting applications. Every high horsepower car out there needs a rebuilt motor at shorter intervals. There really is no way to get the power you want without risking your motor. It just wasn't designed to do that. Whenever an engineer designs a product, the margin of safty is usually 2 to 2.5. Sometimes much higher. If you start modding that car and decrease the margin of safety, physics/numbers will tell you that you've increased the risk. I've delt with these aftermarket companies who claim to have warrenties. It's just a gimmick. Another way to sucker you in to paying an extra 2 - 3 hundred dollars. It means nothing.

Bottom line: More power does not equal Reliability!

And please, don't post no **** like "I did such and such to my car and it lasted me 200 years already!"

I'm making a general statement. There's always exceptions.

What is the run down of your gauges? What each one does?

It appears to be volts, oil pressure and air temp? Nice job on the gauges given attention to detail and precision. Nice combination of gauges as well EGT, A/F, Boost, and oil pressure very important when you have modifications of this level done to a NA car. Nice job!

Did you used to pilot an M3? And what are the differences you have experienced between the Z and the M?

One of the main reasons that I visually dislike the Stillen intercooler is the black hoses that just seem to be laying in the engine compartment. Is there a better way to route the hoses. Also, would it be possible to use braided line with AN fittings to connect to the IC and the intake?

There are 2 heat exchangers and a water pump. One heat exchanger in front of the car and the other one is under the upper plenum. Water pumps through the front heat exchanger and cool water circulates through the heat exchanger under the upper plenum. When the air passes through it, it exchanges heat and the hot water is carried to the front of the car to get cooled again.

Default Air to air better?

Wouldnt that limit the cooling to the temperature of the water? Since air flowing in from the front could be 50 to worse case in Texas 100 degrees outside, wouldnt a air to air be more effective?
I doubt the water ever gets any cooler than 100 after the car is running.

You are not using the water from the engine. It's a different water storage.
