Default Greddy Turbo drive test

Can any of the TT guys, give us a sense of the driving characteristics of the 350 Z TT on the street? Any comments will be appreciated ( turbo lag, noise level, traction, etc).
Thanks,
Dan

They are very quiet, almost no lag. Not sure on traction since I really only drove car up the street and back to test everything out.

Very quiet, no real lag, good low end torque. Noticable power in first and comes on harder in 2nd-4th gears. In comparision, it feels much more like a Stillen SC vs a Vortech SC and ATI SC which tend to come on really hard from 4000 rpm +. The Stillen and Greddy TT have good power from 2500rpm on. This can be a blessing and/or curse since that power takes more skill to control on a track.

I hope that helps.

I only got to drive it for about an hour, but I can tell you that every gear is insane. The lag is very small and I cannot keep the tires on the ground at WOT in first or second gear. This is at 5 psi, and I have an 8 psi mode on the boost controller that is even crazier.

T32gzz, what's the numbers at your 5 psi and 8 psi setting? Are you having any fuel issues at your 8 psi setting? Thanks.

Do your tires fit with no body modification? Those fronts seem wiiiide.

What are you using to get more than the stock amount of boost safely out of the Greddy kit? Do you have any knock issues, are you running lean?

Yes, the tires fit, no rubbing thanks to Bob Hale of HRE. The reason for big tires is simple. Look at the compariosn of I believe road and track mag., the motorX Z out handled the other Z's with a .94 laterial grip. The article itself attributed it to the size and type tires. Add some hp (FI) and I believe it is a good choice however, to each his own.

Now, back to the thread and topic at hand.....
