Hi all,

I'm backpacking around Europe atm and for fun I looked up the CL listings in London for our car.... and came upon this.

http://london.craigslist.co.uk/ptd/3913316008.html

Seems like too good of a deal to pass up...

Thoughts? Scam?

the thing about craigslist...at least from my experience, is that you can go check out the product before you buy, but being that you are backpacking it may not be wise or possible to do so.

The kit looks legit, but does not include the intercooler so you would have to get that. If you have the opportunity you can download the install manual from google and it will list all parts it should have.

Considering it's brand new and the complete kit runs about $8900 (from Z1), 1000 quid is ridiculously low.

Yeah, I'll be heading there in about a week!
I was scouting out craigslist for one of those UK steering wheel controls when I came upon this.

I checked the manual last night, and everything seems to be in order.

Emailed him, hopefully we get a reply.

When I do go see it, is there anything specific I should look for?

I think that's the price with the intercooler...

I found the kit for about $7400 from CZP and, if its the right kit, Intense power has it for $6200.

but yes, in either case $1000 pounds is a ridiculously cheap price, hence the temptation to make the gamble.

The kit looks pretty new but check for turbo shaft play and cracks in the exhaust manifolds.

Emailed the seller.

Will likely be heading up to Irvine to check this out.

Any ideas on shipping from the UK to the states?

You should have many options for shipping; FedEx, UPS and DHL all have offices in the UK. I don't know what price would be, but you will also have to pay duties, most likely. Either way, if the kit is legit and in great shape, the taxes, duties, and other fees will most likely not cost you the price of a full kit.

Thanks for the info.
Another option was to bring half of it with me on the plane! :P
But I'll see how that goes.

In either case I'll keep you guys posted!

Thanks for everything so far.
