Default Adjustable cam gears

Anyone interested in adjustable cam gears that ditch the VVT systems all together?

This would mainly benefit people trying to make big power(degreeing cams), people doing swaps, and people that like to experiment. They would have 10deg -+ of cam adjustment. The intake ones are drawn up in cad and the exhaust ones are still being worked on at the moment. You would need a stock set of cam gears as a core.

I think Fontana Nissan did this to their 500HP N/A 350z.

People should have done this years ago.

The VVT never works as intended, OEM or with aftermarket EMS's.

Without the ability to control during the rev range, the power band narrows though, correct? I'm not sure how VVT never worked out when it does fatten the torque curve...

You will loose power somewhere you cant have it all but you could tune the cams specifically for what you are doing.

Yes you would need a revup front timing cover so you could access both cam gears for adjustment.

The VVt is causing a lot of problems to the HR guys. It happened to me (engine sputtering and losing power) and I remember some guys had problems with it in the Haltech thread.
