Exclamation Custom 350z Thread - Is this turbo too big (PICS!)

UPDATE: Screw it, I just ordered the Precision 6266 CEA from Precision directly! I will have it next week at my dad's in Florida, and a week later I will have it. It will be a nice Xmas gift! Mods please close thread lol.

Hello all,

As some of you may know, specially Jerry, I've got a custom turbo build thread. I've bought everything Brand NEW, fuel system, wideband, everything is quality, DW 440cc Injectors, Walbro 255, HALTECH Platinum Pro, etc.

I'm having trouble ordering a turbo since I live in El Salvador, and I don't want to go through the expensive trouble of importing a new turbo, paying high taxes on it, etc, so I've started looking for turbos locally, and came across THIS big turbo. It's a "GSP T80", A/R 96 on the hot side, with a 4" inlet, the pics show how big it is lol...

I need your advice on how will this thing spool? I believe it will spool very late in the powerband? And will it produce too many CFMs and make too much power, will it require low boost?

Please I need info on this thing, any advice you can give me, to buy or not to buy, it's new never used, $400. Of course it's a chinese brand (putting flame suit on) but it's what I have available to me, it should be good for say 2 years when it starts leaking oil or something, I'll replace it with a decent turbo.

So, thoughts?

Looks nice. If you can measure compressor and turbine wheels, could provide some comparisons...

^ junk like any turbo that does not use a Garrett center section. You get what you pay for. That said it might make some power, for awhile...

dead topic anyway been helping him out(i wasnt near anything to answer him when he posted this) he ended up buying a precision 6266
especially since its a godspeed 80mm turbo supposedly able to make 800 hp and way to big for what he wants.

rcdash none of the precisions or borg warners use garrett center sections and they are just as quality.
