Vortech 350Z or G35 in Phoenix area
Considering one for my G35 but have never heard one run and the sound files posted leave a lot to be desired. If anyone in the Phoenix area has one I would very much appreciate a chance to hear it run at idle. No need for a ride. I'm totally flexible and could meet any time anywhere.
Thanks

Thanks for the offer but it is just the idle noise of the Vortech on a 350Z or G35 that I would like to hear. I'm considering one for my G35 and the amount of noise it makes is the only open question.

They make a slight 'cement mixer' sound at idle which can be alleviated by increasing the RPM at idle to about 800-900 rpms...
I have one but it's currently at Dynosty getting a built engine installed... Should have it back soon though so once I get her back I can let you hear her if you have not found one to check out.

As I understand it the BPV can be toned down with a muffler but it's the blower noise that I'm concerned about. If that is minimized by raising the idle speed does the ECU start throwing idle speed error codes? Our emissions test here is a OBD check looking for codes.

No, No Code……
The noise is a trade off for the Power….. but it's not that bad.
I've muffeled down the sound on my BPV, that works well.
