Just keep your eye open in the marketplace on here. Look for a red box. Check every few days and eventually one will pop up.

I agree with Resmart but I would look for a platinum pro harness system - I've seen them go for $1000. I'll keep an eye out locally around denver metro.

What the new VIS viper hood looks like. Hod scoop is functional hopefully putting a little more cooling in there. Im still trying to figure out if im putting my aero catch latches in. I know its stupid not to but cutting this thing of beauty is painful!!

I'll post what my new turbo blankets look like as well! I purchased the PtP lava blankets. So just looking over what I've spent on what I just posted...well that could have been my haltech lmao.

I'm probably going to leave it in carbon fiber. I really like the look plus it's real carbon fiber I Think it looks really good.

So I got a reply for a haltech unit, it's a pro with a harness?? I'm not sure what that means? What's the diffrence between the platinum and the red one? I have searched but not much on the topic most threads only have about 1 page.

I've got a pro harness, and we've been PM'ing about it. Just to be clear, and so others can confirm for you, here's a link to a pic I took this morning (pic include is erroring out for me right now): http://members.shaw.ca/keenj/images/IMG_0679.JPG

This is the older gen Haltech that's been replaced by the full plug and play. This is a piggyback and still uses the factory ECU to run the drive by wire throttle, and can't do a few things like traction based boost control (but does work on autos). For each tuning cell you can let the factory ECU control the fuel an timing or override it.

Here's the link to the manual for it: http://www.haltech.com/wp-content/up...anual_v1.6.pdf

Here's the link to the replacement: http://www.haltech.com/product/plati...inum-pro-350z/

I just went through this decision for my build. I picked this up cheap from a track car. I've never installed or used it (I'm not sure it was used in the track car either, I think it was an upgrade plan for him). I've decided to go for the full plug and play, it's on the way to me already, so I'm selling the harness for what I paid for it.

Ok, so car is now in the shop and on the lift. Unfortunately I'm out of town to see any of this. But I'm taking my turbos off to be inspected incase of boost leak. They did sit with oil in them for a long time without actually spinning because well, I'm an idiot. If any problems are found with the turbos they are going in to be rebuilt. I'll do the full performance rebuild from majestic turbos. Basically adding a 360 thrust washer. I've also opted out of uprev and will have my stuff up for sale in the market place in a little. I'm going full haltech PnP standalone, I'm ordering it late this week or early next week.

Last but not least, my exhaust I have searched and even read other sites not for 350z. Right now I had to replace my 3inch exhaust with 2.25 dual Hks replica stuff. It sounds bad and honestly I feel like I lost a lot of power. I'm not sure, I could be crazy. Should I go back to my 3inch single or stay dual 2.25? The general consensus is motordyne tdx2 For FI for low to no drone in the car. I may be switching just looking for some positive affirmation from maybe someone using it.

I also found out that my clutch was my problem from earlier. I haven't broken it in yet. I'm hoping that the slips will stop after 500 miles and I plan on taking it a little slower to make sure it's properly broken in. Hopefully I haven't messed it up or glazef it already but I've only put just shy of 250 miles on the clutch and motor. Of that maybe only 5-8 hard pulls.

Congrats on the choice to go Haltech Standalone. Youre going to love the user interface, ease of install and its features.

I dealt with Majestic turbo out of Waco. Very smart guy there (John) was very easy to talk to and a very realistic guy. I would trust him on whatever he recommends...very straight shooter.

More info on the PTP blankets. Looks like what you have is for a generic T3 turbo. Interested in getting me a set.

Yea the are generic T3 turbo blankets I asked their customer service people which I should use for the turbos. They seemed knowledgeable and they shipped them to me really quickly. Very helpful people, at PtP I would use them again for sure. The price is definitely steep on them vs your generic ebay brand. Ebay sells them for like 39 bucks each I paid 159 Each. So they are a little more expensive. I figure spend on quality, they come with a warranty and a garuntee for a year. I also purchased their 2 inch lava wrap 50 feet of it For my manafolds. They have cheaper blankets lava are their "trademark" top of the line version. http://ptpturboblankets.com/home.php

The test video literally shows someone holding there hand on the blanket during a full spool of the turbo so I was kinda impressed.

I hope that helps,I will put more info on engine temp/under the hood temp and stuff once I get them on and the car is running!

I would go back to 3" exhaust, turbos hate back pressure and 2.36" is small... if they are the 60mm piping. nice turbo blankets, good choice. your def headed in the right direction!

Well the t25/t28 seems to be too big. Going to contact PTP and see what they say.

You bought the one for the EVO IX stock turbo...was that on their recommendation?

Yes because the turbos are the same if I remember correctly.

Sorry I've been gone for a little got some bad news about my f150 ecoboost. So I've been dealing with that long story short I now have a 2015 ecodiesel dodge. It's been consuming my life and we'll the money that was going to the "Z" had to go to that. I'm not sure what to do now though lol. Should I keep the Z or sell it. I'm stuck!!!! But I did put the 3inch exhaust back on for the time being. I've made excuses for keeping it for 2 years now, I feel like I'm running out of them now. It's getting stupid expensive, my original budget was 15 grand I'm 3 times that now. Literally. Any thought or comments will help!
