Default Placement for Ethanol Content Sensor?

Hi all,
I’m getting ready to upgrade my fuel system, going from a return-less system w/DW 600cc injectors and Walbro 255lph pump to a CJM stage 1 dampened RFS, DW 1000cc injectors, Walbro 485 pump, and GM/Continental ethanol content sensor & display for flex fuel.

So, I’m trying to identify the ideal placement for the ethanol content sensor, any thoughts? I was thing either in the engine bay against the firewall or where my vacuum manifold is mounted or could I place it closer to the fuel pump/tank?

Thanks!

I thought that ethnol sensors where either in the tank or right after. Subbed for results

i'd put it in the engine bay on the firewall. plumb it inline into the return

Doesnt matter, as long as its in the return, but easiest install in along the frame rail under the car. snugs up right in there.

mine is next to my surge tank under the trunk.

For my previous fuel system it was in the engine bay.

I plan on doing this as well. The guys at dynosty are doing this now for ease of access. Bottom line is that as long as it is in the return line your good where ever it makes sense for you.

believe me, on the firewall is very tough. the sensor is long with the fittings on the end as well as you need to account for the FPR and all the hose fittings.

I have the actual GM sensor on my evo. it was pretty easy to mount on that application. the GM sensor looks to be much smaller length wise than haltech unit.

I know on my Z, it wouldn't be easy mounting on the firewall, but I would look their first.

I guess I got a different version. My pipes are very short compared to Str8's.
