Default ATI Procharger and stock clutch

Got my ATI Procharger installed....

Now I have a question.....

If I don't drag race my car a bunch, power shift etc (general abuse) how long do you think my stock clutch will hold out? I just spent more money than I care to share on this and all the other mods on my car and I'd like the clutch to last a couple few thousand miles so I can recooperate. Probably do more 2nd and 3rd gear punches than standing starts....

I have heard the Nismo clutch is good for 400 pft of torque. Anyone using one? I am thinking about that one or a Centerforce.

Some guys seem to be able to make their stock clutches last....some don't. I think a lot is driving style and what type of FI you have. I think kits with more torque at the lower rpm's will eat clutches a little faster than the kits who get their torque in the higher rpm's. Just my 2 cents.

Torque is the clutch disolver......four runs of 75 shot of NOS and already got new clutch, but then again theres nothing equel to Nitrous as far as TORQUE goes.

Centerforce Clutches are crap....go for an ACT, Nismo or ClutchNet.

I've had bad luck with ACT clutches.... I like the Nismo one. It looks to be rated at over 400 pft of torque....

Nismo would be a pretty good bet...I had trouble with an ACT clutch....it was so strong and grabby that it ripped three transmissions apart in my maxima

I got a spec clutch & flywheel on order. I forgot what it's rated up to, but I'm going with Stage 3. Not cheap, but I've heard pretty good things about them.

Yep, you can slip both the clutch and the differential with the ProCharger. Over the long-term, you will have to replace them.

LOL... If you have the stock RE-040s, they're the weak link in the picture -- they'll slip most of the time before the clutch does. Bigger, stickier tires on the back end and the clutch is then the weak link.

My car doesn't have the LSD (limited slip differential). I've put about 600 miles on my car so far so good....

I've heard Nismo is the way to go. I know someone here llocally w/ the Nismo clutch - it holds 400pft, and when I drove the car it felt beautiful.
