Hi,
After having run my Vortech V-3 for about 1 year, I'm getting a bit bored of the noise of the off-boost air escaping from the BOV. The BOV came with the tuner kit.
Has anyone that has fitted this supercharger, devised a route that this unused air can be returned into the supercharger inlet after the air filter?
There are many factory fitted SC's that are quiet off-boost. I presume the air is recirculated.
On my set-up I have a large K & N filter mounted above the intercooler, piped through the hole in the front slam panel. I might be able to tee into the short 90mm dia. pipe after filter but unsure just how big this return pipe would need be. I think that 45mm dia. silicone hose would go over BOV outlet (which is oval).
Any advice would be appreciated.

Yep, Medium Dense Open Cell 1/4 think Black Foam is what I used
It need to Breath.
Tim,
Thanks for reply. I tried the small air filter idea but the noise was not really reduced. I'll try again with the open cell foam insert.
I see you have a serrated drive belt for extra friction to stop slipping.
I have a more drastic solution- a 10-groove drive belt! I machined a new set of pulleys, guide rollers and tension roller to suit. Challenge was to modify power steering pulley by bolting an aluminium blank to front of existing pulley (after dis-assembling pump), I then machined the additional 4 grooves in the aluminium in line with existing grooves. Finally 10-groove Vortech SC drive pulley.
Result, lower belt tension (load on alternator bearings etc.) with no slipping.

That's an Old Pic, I use a Gates Green Back HD Belt
Great Job on the 10 Rib......
This is my solution for belt slip, a TimRod Radius Rod, It's held so far to 32 psi on my friends car.

Wish it wasn’t so difficult to quiet down a Tial Q 50mm. Can’t hear drone, road noise, exhaust, or wind but I can sure as hell hear the air dumping from the BOV.
