Why did you take your blower off? Wasn't it an ATI?

Thanks,

Was the Vortech dyno'd straight out of the box, or was it tuned? I've heard that the out-of-the-box program is set on the rich side to be on the conservative side and to preclude detonation.

Fluidz, get that Splitsecond box tuned and don't get greedy with the HP numbers. If you can take the boost down to 6 psi and still make the same numbers as out-of-the-box, DO IT.

Play it safe, don't blow your motor!

Shouldn't the Vortech make about the same hp as the ATI kit at the same boost level assuming the kit is tuned?

Really...that would be sweet...the price is definitely right...might have one this summer...we'll see.

You mean the vortech might make slightly more power right?

If I recall from the article, it was tuned. I could be wrong because I have only just skimmed it so far.

I think that PSI for PSI the Vortech kit makes slightly less than the ATI kit. But tuning is the most important variable. With good tuning either kit is awesome. With bad tuning both kits suck.

You may need to concider changeing your injectors out cause you have one hell an irratic curve after 4500 rpm. My guess is that with the crawford intake and the borla headers and the cats you are getting a nice lean surge on the high end

Other than the PSI to HP comparison, how bout the driveabilities of the two? I mean the cranking and belt sound during daily driving as well as idle...which kit seems to run smoother?
