Default Total cost on a TT system?

I'm curious as to how much people are spending for the Greddy TT setup complete with intercooler/install/ and everything else needed start to finish to make it run properly?

I remember the first batch was claiming around $10-$11K.

I am at $7400 with the kit with FMIC, and full install. From there...the sky is the limit. You can can exhaust, high flow cats, and assortment of gauges, WideBand O2, BOV, tuning etc.

$9-10K feels about right, when you include the other goodies.

Vortech Supercharger is around $5500 including install. In my opinion, if comparing prices on F/I, only look at the kit costs plus installation. Then you can compare apples to apples. The guages, tuning etc, will probably be constant regardless of SuperCharger or TT.

I got you all beat. I'll tell you the same thing that i have been telling everyone else. YOU HAVE TO SHOP AROUND!!! I spent about 2 weeks looking at both the little and major stores. I found out that the major stores tried to over price the kits as much as $1500 more just because it was the only one that they had on thier shelf. I fould my kit w/ intercooler and a complimentary blowoff valve for $6495. I was told afterwards by some people that i would not need one unless i was boosting past 7psi. But the shop that I found had 2 in thier inventory and they were very cool about everything. they offered to install it for $1000 and they want to take pictures and film. Just call me Chebosto Jr. (JK) Seriously though these guys were a shop that was just getting started up and they wanted some recognition. They are very experienced at what they do. They also sold me the new greddy ev02 exhaust which is to start shipping in 1 week. The name of the store is Project Imports and they are located in Riverside california. The name of the person I deal with is Clint. He is a pretty cool cat if you ask me. I pick up my tt kit this friday and I have also just recieved comfermation from Superautobacs that my ings+1 ls kit is 200miles off shore and is due here at the store by March 20th after it gets through customs. The main thing that you have to do is just keep looking.

hehe...OK..you beat me by $100. Of course, I don't get my car filmed.

Definately agree to need to call around. I called two other shops and they wanted between $2500-$3000 for the install.

Huh, most around here have been saying $10K. So you guys(gq and ZRAY) are getting these kits for $7500 installed?? Is that with tuning?? If I remember right, thought you were installing your kit yourself, gq.

I am 9.5 for the install. That includes the Greddy E01 which ran me less than 600.

After hearing the horror stories surrounding the manifold removal, I decided to pass on a self-install. )

Kit was $5800
Install will be $1600 (starts tomorrow)

The kit will run properly out of the box. I intend on tuning it at a later date. And remember, those costs don't include the other goodies I am installing. See my sig for the list. I'll likely be closer to $9-10K when all is said and done.

I have recieved some PM'es about who is doing the install. I have decided NOT to disclose that until the job is done. I want to make sure they do a good job before I begin recommending this shop. Pics and detailed posts will be coming shortly...thanks!

How was the install to do yourself? Are air tools going to be a necessity? I did a good bit with turbo's and such on my 300ZX's and am comfortable working on the car, just curious how the install went, how long it took, etc?

Major pain but can be done. Don't really need any air tools but did make taking the exhaust off easier. Took me 5 days overall which I thought was not to bad, about 6-8 hrs each day. some of the bolts are really hard to get to and you might have to bend a couple of wrenches. make sure you have a good set of tools.
