is the sport z mag s/c shootout using stillen stage 2?
skk100 thats awesome. so when you had the stage 1 it was noticeably faster though right (i mean you could actually feel it not just posting better times)? my main concern is for the car to FEEL faster b/c thats what makes driving fun in my opinion.
and just curious, did you g-tech the 0-60 w/ the stage 1?
and how would you say you would fair on the street against a stock 01-04 m3 or 04 s4 when you had the stage 1?

Arash,
I would invest in the Stage 3 kit or at least the stage 2 kit. You will feel the car a little faster in stage 1 but you wont be blowing away anyone. I would spend the extra money on the stage 2 or 3. The difference is immense between stage 1 and 3.

Skk100:
Nice to see you posting on the site! I agree with you 100%. The stage 3 is worth the price of admission and you should go to at least level 2 and still have a warranty over stage 1.

thanks for the help, my problem is though, the stage 2 and 3 seem to get a bit complex. (this is why im not interested in tt)
i want it be as simple as possible b/c i dont know how to do much of anything mechanical myself. so if any little thing went wrong i would have to take it to the shop. i thought the stage 1 would be relatively worry free. i mean i can keep the stock clutch, etc.
plus, the stage 2 and 3 not only cost 1500 more, but im assuming id have to spend another 500 to get the intercooler on.
maybe i am better off with the vortech, though it seems a number of people are having problems. i saw someone bought it for 4330 online.

the stage 2/3 is very simple. I installed everything myself and the instructions are very clear. it entails:
-remove front bumper for access
-move radiator overflow tank to front left bumper area with provided brackets using existing holes
-mount intercooler to bumper bar (existing holes, everything uses existing holes and bolts on)
- run 2 hoses, from intercooler/pump to intercooler resorvoir and to supercharger
- wire into the original superchargers black box, 2 wires.
took me about 2 hours total.
If you add it later, you need to separate the upper and lower supercharger plenum, so you can put the other heat exchanger in between. It would be best to do it with the initial install.

The additional install for the Stage 3 is very small. I mean its a few more hours of labor at most. If you have a problem with the Stage 1 are you really going to mess with it yourself? THe only difference with Stage 1, 2, and 3 is that the stage 2 and 3 come with an intercooler and different size pulleys. Either way if you don't work with cars you shouldn't touch the supercharger. I would save up for Stage 2 or 3 or you will regret it.
I have a stage 2 with stillen headers, rt cats, stillen exhaust and aem . 271 rwh. It is a 5at. How much power did you make. My car
is very rich on a/f. How much power did you make

yea, stillen said no test pipes or headers for now, but hi flow cats are ok. You should be lean, I was pretty lean with the test pipes, but perfect with the factory cats. I put out 300 rwhp with the stage 3 pulley but without the intercooler hooked up. Your a little down on power, I would think. Should be about 310-320 with stage 2.
I pulled 338rwhp on the SportZ shootout and 339rwhp on another dynoe run a few months ealrier. I have a stage 3 intercooled. 300rwhp sounds like a stage 1 set up. Something doesnt jive. I had 299rwhp on the stage 1 setup
