If you spent a couple months reworking your car, and you had a guy telling people all you added was a tornado fuel saver, I bet you'd be pretty angry Now don't get me wrong, I know you were not making claims that ridiculous, but I used that explanation to illustrate my point. If this post comes off as too harsh, I apologize. I'm just trying to get you to realize that the board is a better place when the facts are in order, and that it's not acceptable to say "aww who gives a ****".

first of all i wasnt understating his work and the effort that was put in the car, damn, if anything i was stating the obvious---that the car was a mechanical monster, and that i wouldnt consider it a 350 anymore, i dont know what id call it, more like a z-hybrid maybe. so i dont think there was any disinformation spreading.
and....when did i say a single word about an engine swap, nowhere.
therefore..when i say "ok, ok, its a z, **** people who gives a damn", that means that my original post was not put there to start some dumbass pointless trivial argument. thats why i didnt dispute any opinions.
so, again dont think that i was downplaying the effort that went into the car, i think its awesome, and id be proud to have it, congrats bluefish or whoever owns it, on an amazing machine,
but on a side note, if a z owner can sit in the car, and not recognize that its a z, is it still really a z?

Since I don't know much about the car, i'm not going to make any more assumptions. However, I do see your point. Modifying an engine to that degree is moving the car into another category, or making it a totally different beast.

if thats where he was going with it when he said its not a z anymore, then i can understand and agree with that, but they built it to drift it so, it is what it is...
would'nt really put it in the same class as street car though when talking about 1/4 mile times since it is stripped and i'm sure lightened...

if the car only had a built engine that was turboed then i would'nt understand his point, it would still very much so be a street car, just one with a modded engine... jay

I've been weird lately. I normally read posts very objectively, and yet lately I seem to have misinterpreted several posts. I hope i'm not getting dumber as I get older. :P
