Went out to change the pulley today .Just as I thought....it will not come off with out some more room .Blower must be losened up to get enough room .Which way is the easiest ? The four bolts that hold it on the bracket ? They look very hard to get to . Can any one help ?
Are you talking about the cog pulley behind the bracket or are you talking about the jackshaft pulley in front?
The cog pulley requires removing one of the serpentine belt pulleys (so that you can reach the bracket bolts) and loosening the bracket so you can pull it out just enough to fit the new cog pulley behind there.

Im leary about doing something Im not sure how to do it right...thats why the post.....Thx....Zimbo

I ordered my pulley from Vortech , so I got it in 4 days . Esemes...did you order from Grubb's ? My 93.5 belt was adjusted just about all the way . Going with the smaller pulley I thought I would try the shorter belt . Im getting a 93 inch one today and I'll post the part number if it fits .Im getting a Gates belt...they seems a little stiffer than the Goodyear

thnx... i dropped mine off at the dealer today, to review a list of warranty stuff, and begin on the new perfor, mance goodies too..... i'll see how much slack they can pull out of the belt (but am sure the smaller pulley will make it obsolete)

OK...Pulley is on and was able to get a 93 inch belt on .Its a Gates belt...PN# K060930 6PK2364 The Gates belt is a little thicker and should out last the Goodyear that comes with the kit .Im sure hope I dont have to adjust as much with the heavier belt .Took it out for a spin....WAHOOOO....can really tell its pushing more air .I didnt go WOT [I'll wait till I get a retune ] but I did get into it just a little bit . The whine is louder and the whooosh is louder when you let off the gas. Bad news is that tuner is booked till the 9th of July .
Does the 93" belt fit the stock vortech jackshaft pulley? My belt is way too loose right now with the tensioner tightened all the way. Should I get the 93". Hey Zimbo, i remember you telling me that our kits had a longer belt then normal, does that mean our kits came with a 94" belt?
Our kits came with Goodyear 4060935 belts (meaning 93.5"). You definitely need the 93" belt, Jimmy. To me, the fact that the belt is too loose is a warranty issue so you should call them to see if they'll send you a free replacement. That's what I did.
A slightly thicker belt is a good idea--but on my kit at least there's not a lot of room between the jackpulley and the blower.
