I have no idea how one would adjust the tachometer. I know on my car that it reads about 150 rpms high (ie. between one and two notches) at redline. With a rev limit of 7100 rpms, I can take the car right to 7200 on the tachometer.

On the dyno I use for tuning, for whatever reason it reads about 300 rpms low, so I had to stop the guy at 6300 rpms to avoid hitting the rev limit of 6600 rpms. Pretty confusing, especially since that means that I have to convert the dyno A/F plot to the "real" RPMs to accurately tune with the R4 software.

boog-

the dyno picks up the tach at a different location. i dont know if its a cleaner spot, or, if the oem tach is just not as accurate, but the only other optiion is to get a MONSTER TACH, to go smack in the middle of the dashpod.... (kidding!)

Looking at your A/F gauge as you drive I can see your car is running Rich. I'd play with the R4 software and lean it our a bit.

Several people asked about HP numbers. I just dynoed today so that I would have something of a baseline before I rip off the supercharger and put on the Garrett turbos.

We didn't run all the way up to redline @ 7100 (since there is a discrepancy between the dyno RPM reading and the actual RPMs), but max HP and torque at the wheels at about 6800 rpms were 385 hp and 325 ft/lb, respectively.

I left things slightly rich, ramping up to 7 degrees of timing retard out up top.

Who said I wasn't happy? Restless is a better word for it.
