I really like the idea of getting an oil pan spacer and drilling and tapping it for the fitting. Yes, you aren't permanently modifying the car, but the real reason is the additional oil volume. With the SC, you will actually have less oil in the pan because there is a constant volume of oil in the line and bearing cavity in the SC. Having some extra capacity is always a good thing.
