they also tld me it was supposed to whistle....

that sound is NOT the sound it should make while venting or full-pressure expulsion....

has ANYONE with a bluetop bov not had this issue??

maybe the red ones were assembled differently, or by someone different??

i am not kidding AT ALL, whn i say my new one is FREE of the shrill whistle... it makes the venting whoosh sound, but thas it....

i wish someone else could use this other red one

you could alos get the mondo spec bov, or maybe the bypass valve , but the bypass one will not help performance at all (hinderance im told), and the mondo one is rated for higher boost.....

hey scott...check you pm

i spoke to vortech and explained that the one customer that swapped out his BOV(scott) did NOT have any more whistle...he didn't say anything...

i also asked about the difference b/w red and blue top..he said they were all the same....i don't kno what to believe...

seeing everyone is whistling then it might be ok...but what happens if each degree of whistle is diff...we would never relli kno...

I THINK there might be some inversion of the diaphram......

look at the warning decals...... interesting that they make a big deal about this.....

when my dealer complained to them, they DID o/n a new red one to us.....

hmmm............

when the car idles..... is there an intermittant shrill-whistle??

are you able to silence this by placing a finger over the bov outlet?? (or the yardstick test)??

ifso, this is not normalcy, and prolly an inverted diaphram....

some arent bothered by it; i was mental (moreso) about it...

the filter silencer wont cure the inverted whistle sound, but the foam-trick combo just might!!!

you sound like you are functioning within the design specs.....

the whistle DOES happen on decel (venting) but DEF. happens at idle too....
