Another forum member and I was wondering what every one is getting for fuel pressure under boost . I have a electronic fuel pressure gauge and it reads between 49 to 52 psi under boost .Actually it stays there at all times , at all driving conditions . The other forum member has a mechanical gauge , and he said his rises under boost to 90 psi . Can any one with VORTECH experiance tell us what is the correct pressure under normal and boost conditions should be
My fuel pressure stays at 51-52 psi during normal driving. When the engine gets into boost about around 3500 rpm the pressure jumps to around 65 psi or so. 90 psi seems way too high. Where is their pressure sending unit mounted? Mine is mounted using the SPX fuel tap.

After hearing that the fuel pressure should rise . Im thinking the same thing , that its on the tank side . I dont have a pic . The shop that did install..is the best in town for Vortech and the Mech put my boost gauge on the outlet of the blower.....I got 11psi there..lol . i had him change it to the engine side of the intercooler...and got 7lb's.. Now this !!! I think this shop should get rid of this mech. Think I'll be making a call to Vortech to make sure and then call the shop and have them change it

Glad to hear that you got it fixed and the system was working properly. I was worried there for a while that it was on the right side and something else was wrong.
just re-confirmed.....
mine slams over 80psi once the boost rolls up......
this is the same procedure my vast blower car did; albeit a t-rex aux. pump (later swapped out for the bosch ext.)
