running hot?
Is anyone running hot with thier forced induction systems? I have seen several aftermarket radiators and front ends that promote cooling. I would really like to hear from some that run road courses, since that is where the car will run the hottest. ALso, if anyone was running hot, what was the cure. TIA.
I've made quite a few mountain runs with my Vortech. While the engine bay gets extemely hot (actually affects my info center temp reading), the actual engine temperature runs about normal. Just have to find a way to vent my engine bay better now so it doesn't start affecting other things.
funny you mention
i added the nismo LT thermo and samco hosekit when the blower was done, and was running COOLER (on the gauge) than before the install...
this weekend, the thermo must've failed/stuck/?? as the overflow resv. filled up, and today, the car shot to "H" (cut it off about three ticks before the "H" mark.....
so now, im faced with a dilema.........
and have a new nismo LT overnighted to me.....

the problem with your overheating is not the thermosat, its most likely a crack in the radiator....my car did the same exact thing yours did and it ended up being a cracked radiator....fixed under warranty as well.
